Hi. I have a problem with finding the game through cnconline. It says "Red Alert 3  installation not found."

I have (re)bought Ra3 on origin but it fails to install, however when I try to open the game through Explorer (Windows 10), it works. Ive allready tried the normal origin fix ( as suggested in FAQ) but that didn't help, nor did hooking the game.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Can you try to reinstall RA3?

If you don't want to reinstall RA3 or it doesn't work, you could edit Registry Entries manually.

 

Press WinKey + R, then write regedit and press Enter to open your Registry Editor.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3

And set the InstallPath to your Red Alert 3 Directory.

That's part of the problem I think. I can't finish the origin install, therefore I dont have the "EA " folder to set the installpath to, the game that I launch, which works, is located in the origin folder, but isn't 'fully' installed. That makes it impossible to reinstall and/or find the pathway.

 

I've tried to manually uninstall the entire folder and redownloading, will update after that.

I fixed the problem(s). The FN key layout from this lenovo laptop apparently blocked RA3 from installing fully, so I adapted the keyboard layout which then fixed Cnc online too.

I guess you can just use the origin folder as your InstallPath

C&C:Online launch RA3 by calling InstallPath\RA3.exe, so you can just set InstallPath to that folder containing RA3.exe
