Top 10 topics are, of course, usually opinionated... but this is mine, so it's 100% correct.  Some of these shows didn't necessarily premier this year, but they're the shows I enjoyed the most this year.  I will rank them based off of the world's deadliest animals, with the most dangerous being the better shows I enjoyed.

# Shrew

Daredevil

The shrew has razor sharp claws that can shred through the toughest materials.  Daredevil has nothing in common with that, so I'll stop trying so hard to use the animals as metaphors for the shows.  Season 2 of Daredevil aired this year and it quickly surpassed the intrigue of season one with the introduction of The Punisher.  Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle was so super duper good, it should have the show in one of the top slots... but this season also featured the busty bint: Electra.  She slowed the season down so much, it booped this show back to the sluggishness of the shrew.

# Panda

Black Mirror

I discovered this show just this year, and found it very enlightening since it was keen on its observations between modern society and its bond with technology.  Every episode is a different story, so even if you don't like one episode, there's always next week.  Pandas are black and white, like the logo I posted.

# Fire Ants

The Flash

Yea, I know... another super hero show.  Unlike the CW's other garb'auge, the punchline is that The Flash actually has good writers.  The series is a bit messy, such as the obsessive need to turn every single character into a super human, but the plot is thick with twists and turns that keep me interested,  Fire ants are red, like the Flash.  ... These dangerous animal metaphors are really stretching it.

# Cougar

People of Earth

It's a show that gives a personality to alien abductions.  It's a quick comedy about a bunch of weird people who are trying to make sense of their abduction experiences, all while the show reveals that the aliens behind Earth's invasion are just as strange and dysfunctional.  It's a quick comedy... JUST LIKE THE COUGAR.  Amazing.

# Dogs

The Crown

It's about Queen Elizabeth II taking the reigns of England's sovereignty at the tender age of 25, showing the true story of the queen's dramatic journey.  An incredible show, especially with John Lithgow playing Winston Churchill.  Very educational as well.  It even has Hans Zimmer behind the music, don'cha know?  This show BARKS in all the right places.  Like a dog.

# Snakes

Stan Against Evil

I literally discovered Stan Against Evil last night, but it was so good, it had to make the list.  It's about the New England town of WIlard's Mill and an ancient curse placed on it due to the hundred witches that there burned there in the 17th century.  Stan, his incredibly awkward daughter, and the new sheriff attempt to live their American sitcom lives while running into various Satanic terrors and blunder their way through them.  Yes, everyone is saying it's a rip of Ash Vs. Evil, and it sort of is - but it does everything better.  Snakes.

# Jellyfish

Gotham

It was my favorite show of last year, and it maintains that level of incredible writing in season 3.  The start of the season went a bit too fast and resulted in some dull moments, but it built up into one heck of a plot.  Who knew a Batman show without Batman in it would actually be amazing?  Well... me.  I knew it.  I predicted it would be good in a topic 4 years ago.  And if Steve Irwin predicted how deadly that jellyfish was, he would still be alive.  Rip in piece.

# Wolves

Better call Saul

Season 1 was amazing, season 2 was amazing... I think it's about time you give Saul a call.  It had one episode that gave me a yawn-a-thon, but the rest of the season was top-notch.  Wolves are like dogs, but better.  Better Call Saul is like Breaking Bad, but better.  The connection was obvious.

# Small Poisonous Spiders that Jump

Scream Queens

Scream-Queens.jpg

What on God's green earth is a show about sorority girls doing in second place?  Scream Queens is Ryan Murphy's dream baby in full form, combining cheesy 80's slasher horror with modern writing, making one of the most interesting murder mysteries I've ever seen.  It's also hilarious.  And Emma Roberts as the lead role?  Hubba, hubba.  I'd let her shove my face in a deep fryer any day.  Spiders kill people, and so does this show.  Lots of people.

# Wasps

Salem

Salem is in its 3rd season, but I only recently heard about it.  After catching up with all of the seasons, I can accurately say this is not only my favorite show of this year - it's my favorite show EVER.  It's about the Essex coven in 17th century Salem, featuring a very real look at the early American colony and the struggles it faced.  ... Oh, and the witches were actually real and actually attempted to summon Satan with actual black magic.  The representation of the occult is so striking in this show, I could not stop watching.  Best cinematography I have ever seen, best special effects I have ever seen, best writing I have ever seen, the wardrobes are fantastic... the only problem I have with it is the guy who plays John Alden.  He's a bit of a raspy, burly loser, but every other role is on point.  Every episode has major plot advancements and doesn't keep you waiting around for something amazing to happen.  It has rat stomping, dog burning, pecker swapping... what... what more do you want?  Stop reading this and go watch it.  Now.  If you don't, deadly wasps will sting you and your family to death.

Also, Westworld almost made this list, but the mid-season was so convoluted and repetitive, I couldn't make room for it.  Maybe next year.

Walking Dead?  Negan is fun and all, but watching him jostle twitchy people around an hour every week isn't exactly top-notch entertainment.  They figured out that he's a great character, so they've been having him grandstand for hours while people just stand around and quake in their boots.  Fun... but I'm shouting "DO SOMETHING" at my TV far too often when he starts bantering.  And that episode with Captain Lesbian crash-landing her whale body onto Lesbian Island?  Umm.... yea, dude.  That was the worst episode of the series.

And I find Blacklist boring.  The first season was, anyway.  May give it another chance one day.
