This is a list of the most common technical issues that users might encounter trying to play Mental Omega, including using it with Steam/EA App.

I'm having trouble. Syringe.exe crashes when I try to play a Multiplayer game. 

The thing is: I have it set to use Admin mode already (I am Admin). It gives me two boxes that popup. One saying either my antivirus(it's off) or the fact I'm not using administrator mode. The other error box gives me a box that tells me Mental Omega has crashed and that. "Collection was modified: enumeration may not execute". Contact the forums if it keeps happening. So that's why I'm here.

The Syringe log also follows as this;

Also. I've completely uninstalled RA2/YR's three times (It's from The First Decade collection), updated it with the unofficial patches, and tried uninstalling Mental Omega and reinstalling it. Nothing seems to work. Can you help me?

i got it working, as soon as i was able to run mental omega client, after installing a bunch of microsoft dependencies (.net+vc+xna)

 

@Cerazor

from what i read, you dont need unofficial patches, and if you install them it breaks the game, so you have to delete all files and install clean

 

just install ra2+yr from "the first decade" (it is already yuri v1.0001)

unpack mo3.3 in the game folder, where gamemd.exe is

this is all the game files you need

try mental omega client.exe

 

if it still doesent work, you must install xna framework,  some .net frameworks and VC redistributables, dont know wich, i installed all

 

microsoft windows is a clusterfuck

Reinstalling it without patches did nadda. Also I'm fairely certain I have all of those.

EDIT: Alright I figured it out. It was because I was using the Syringe in admin mode but I wasn't playing MO in admin mode.

When playing Unholy Alliance, you are unable to build the Allied Air-force Command preventing any more tech progression on the allied sub factions. I have tested this several times to date. Fingers crossed. :w00t:

Klaus666: If you get a crash right after loading, this could be my favourite bug (see my previous posts). Can you upload your syringe.log after the game crashed like with IE-Draw?

No need to worry anymore.

I just reinstalled the game completely and extracted Mental Omega on a different folder other than the RA2 directory.

Now everything works. Thanks anyway :)

I'm having trouble launching MO as well. Strangely enough, this worked fine about a week ago so I'm not sure what has changed. Here's the Syringe log:

If it worked before, just try rebooting first.

So the game itself launches fine for me, but during skirmishes/online the gameplay/framerate slows down over time to almost a crawl. Is this something I can fix or is it just a bug with the game?

then go to the options menu in the game and find the best renderer for your OS/device (I had the same issue and the renderer "TS_DDRAW" worked for me)

Originally when I first download this mod anytime I started a game, from the very start the game ran fine except when I moved the mouse enough to move the screen. Anytime I moved the screen the game speed slowed to a halt. But changing it to TS_DDRAW fixed that.

 

Now the game works just fine...at first. But it seems to slow as the game goes on until after an hour or so the game speed is only a few frames per second and basically unplayable. I'm trying to play a game with me vs. 6 Mental AIs so there's a lot going on on the map, but I don't see why it works fine at the start and then gets slower and slower as the game goes on?

I had tried rebooting numerous times to no avail. However, I do believe I have figured out the issue.

 

I started having problems with fullscreen games as well, I thought it was perhaps a driver issue but to cut a long story short, the culprit was TeamViewier. Uninstalled that and after a reboot, suddenly everything works again.

 

Worryingly, I hadn't updated TV myself in a while but it seems to have an internal update client. I'm guessing a recent update has caused it to break. Everything's working now, though!

I'm pretty sure it's not performance related - I just built a new desktop last summer with a 3.5GHz i5, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 980. It plays CS GO at max settings at about 200FPS.

 

I tried it in a borderless window, still on TSDDRAW and it still happened. It happens both in skirmish and online, but weirdly it is worse in skirmishes. The effect starts earlier and quicker, whereas online it slowly sets in over the first hour of the game.

So as far as I know I installed everything correctly. MO will start up fine but will crash about 30 seconds into any game I start. Is this the syringe file you need?

every time i try to start a mission in campaign mode the game crash after loading the mission, it also happens after playing for a while in skirmish mode. A message box pops up:

Hello im have problem with MO 3.3.0 launcher and CNCNET Red Alert 2 YR  launcher. I have original game from Origin. My problem is

im play with my friend on CNCNET normal Red Alert 2 YR but when im want to play Mental Omega im start mental omega but mental omega dont start.

The CNCNET Red Alert 2 YR client start. Can someone please help me ? Im really like this mod for Red Alert.

 Mental Omega has crashed. Error message:

 

Method not found: Void

Rampastring.XNAUI.Input.Cursour.LoadNativeCursor(System.String).

 

If the issue is repeatable, contact the MO staff at mentalomega.com/forum

Upload client.log created after the crash has happened. Did you place MO where YR with CnCNet5 is though? Cause you shouldn't do that.
