Today.

Hmm, the mission now directly confirms that Rashidi is part of Foehn Revolt. It was pretty obvious already, but now we have official confirmation for it.

Also, it seems like Soviets destroying Yuri's Moon Base accidentally cuts off the Foehn from one of their planned bases of operations. Although Yuri's forces can no longer use it either.

Mostly in it for the lore. Although, I do enjoy basebuilding as well.

Well to fact, the Soviet had a "Moon Base" replacing the former though.

That sounds like a future plot point for the potential Act 3.

Btw, 3.3.4 is out. Will update the campaign timelines once I played the new missions (though I already added a few that were showcased).

<sorry for double post>

Updated Timeline:

Act 1 - https://i.imgur.com/SwiKh3T.jpg

Act 2 - https://i.imgur.com/946nL42.jpg

The largest change, besides the addition of the new missions was caused by the mission "Fullmetal". By its inclusion, it codified some parts of the timeline that sorta just "floated" between "Thread of Dread" and "Obsidian Sands". Due to this, we now know when exactly some Allied missions take place, and the timeline was changed accordingly. Some missions like "Kill the Messenger" and "Gridlock" or maybe "Tainted Empire" could potentially be playing at the same time as "Obsidian Sands", but I like to put the most important story beat missions separate (unless there's a mission that knowingly takes place at the same time).

(Edit: Cleaned up the images a bit.)

I'm guessing that "second furthest point" from the Mental Omega must be somewhere near the North Pole.

I wonder, will Foehn build a base there? Doesn't seem like a lot of resources. I'm curious if the Coronia will come into play in taking Foehn to the "second furthest point"

I doubt it would be the North Pole, but rather Alaska since most Foehn lore mentions Alaska a lot.

A quick review of some of latest missions that I have played so far: SOME MINOR GAMEPLAY SPOILERS
Dawnbreaker: Amazing. Finally a mission for all your Apocalypse needs. They destroy everything literally so fast with cyborg commandos that I was about to evil laugh myself while playing it.
Is the missions name a message to the act one beginning "Red Dawn" in some way ?

The great beyond: Enjoyable proto-foehn naval based macro command mission. But i found Tarchia prototypes unnecessary. Since they have sh#t accuracy over cliffs I have found no use for them. However, diverbees proved to be useful for sniping masterminds etc.

Thank you for making these! Made use of them on several occasions and I imagine here will be more in the future.

I still assure it's still in Alaska or probably Canada's northernmost territories.

I am forever confused over the insane number of Barrels and Demo Trucks just lying around in Dawnbreaker.

Everyone seems to be arguing over how Yunru came into such a position of power,

yet nobody is willing to explain how Rahn's weapon is able to teleport a pair of shorts.

If I read this correctly, the briefing in Nightcrawler states that the Psychic Amplifier in Bissau was destroyed by the Paradox Engine. Problem is, this contradicts with the events of Obsidian Sands, as the Psychic Amplifier there was clearly destroyed by Scorpion Cell in the opening cutscene. Unless, there were 2 Psychic Amplifiers in Bissau.

Hmm, might be overthinking things. I just had this idea in my mind that Foehn and Epsilon will end up in opposite poles, so that they're not only ideologically opposed but geographically opposed.

Today.

Seeing prototype units in action is pretty sweet. I love the little lore details.

Tarchia and Diverbees are PF units which makes sense. Also, there some kind of PF Blackout research station in Eclipse.

So far, the tech seems to be:

Plasma Weapons   - KI

Wind Manipulation - KI

Sonic Weapons      - KI

Blackout                 - KI

Nanotech                - China

Cybernetics            - China

AI                            - China

I'm curious what Rashidi might contribute. I guess there will be renegade psychics from Scorpion Cell to make Zorbs? Confusion ray could be a chemical thing. Maybe he has the idea to use nanotech to scavenge materials, since that fits Scorpion Cell's way of fighting.

Maybe it turns out that the Mantis Tank is the prototype for the Mastodon, and Rashidi uses nanotech to make nanocharge.

Rashidi was called the Miracle Man in Great Beyond briefing, and judging by his past works, he may be the man responsible for the design of several Foehn units. He might even be the one responsible for Foehn MCV like what he did to Epsilon during Act 1.

Speaking of wind manipulation, I thought China were the first to use it properly because of the presence of Windbelts in Thread of Dread.

I believe after the destruction of Rashidi's HQ another one is consctructed to control Cell Forces

I think this might be another person. Probably someone in the allied side? I might be mistaken though.

If you mean the Miracle Man, it's Rashidi. There's nobody else who just escaped the clutches of Yuri in the story atm

I like The Great Beyond, how you can play either China or Pacific Front, the two least used factions in the campaigns, and you also get different prototype units based on your choice. (PF - Diverbee, Tarchia; China - Infector Tank, Gharial)

Also like the detail of the prototype Foehn units using more conventional weapons. (Kinda like what I suggested in the past. :V)

True, but the orb-thingy on Windbelts resembles the Allied Weather Controller orb, so I always assumed that KI was responsible.
