What's more, don't forget an important (historical) meme about the Chinese faction, that their units once received speed buff when near an nuclear plant.

 

It could be fun to preset nuclear plants all around the map (immune to spies of course), which makes multiple centurions and nuwas as fast as terror drones LOL

Can the aircraft carrier receive the promotion instead of the hornets? Hornets are expendable as hell and its a waste of a promotion if it gets shot down. If the aircraft carrier had the promotion it could copy it to the hornet.

Or is this for balancing or engine causes?

Carrier should receive some of the Hornets' experience points thanks to Ares. It should be even easier in the next patch.

By the way, comparing to vanilla Red Alert 2, MO units promote slower and promoted units are far less effective. This makes infiltrating enemy War Factories hardly worth the effort. Any ideas about this?

It woths the effort

For foehn is really easy to do also

For others is a nice addition and an optional target when you can't reach a lab

 

Units are receiving faster promotions on 3.3.2

most veteran units only get an insignificant health boost, which is not too helpful unless in mirror PvP

You forget they also give firepower boost and, assuming MO system is similar to RA2, ROF boost.

If you are able to achieve veteran units. basically means your army now is above game balance.
Having both drastic veterancy changes and a way to achieve veteranacy to all your units at the same time would be a terrible idea. Even more if you think how easy is to perform infiltration using foehn and for the rest isn' really that hard.

So after being dragged to the beaches by my family I have had a lot of time to think. I used part of that time to contemplate life and to think of ways to seize the means of production, but mostly I thought of Emblem's suggestion to change how aircrafts work.

Now to understand how to change aircrafts we must identify the problem of them in this stage of the game. Primarly we're going to look at the Allied Tier two jets because the Foxtrot and Dyyubkk attacker are more or less acceptable anti unit strikecrafts. I think we can all agree that aircrafts (In the right hands) are completely and utterly broken as all hell. Let me just lay it out first and foremost I want to make Baracudas the ONLY designated building sniping aircraft. The other aircrafts will have the ability to do it of course, just not as effective as now. I will not introduce any drastic changes, it's up to someone else to change how jets work, but I will like to see some balancing done and complaining is the only way I know how to do it.

Lets start with the Stormchild. Fast and...... well, they are fast as hell. Their payload never miss and seems like they are unloaded faster than the other jets. Although equipped with an anti-infantry laser, their armor makes it that three flak troopers can easily take out the 1200 credit jet and only suffer one casualty in return. So in this glaring armor problem and their extreme speed, the only real role for the Stormchilds in games is the occasional hero snipe and...... KILLING TECH! Oh my, everyone's favorite time is to have their tech buildings sniped by two airfields full of stormchilds. So what's the fix? Decrease the base structure damage by half, but increase damage to defenses significantly. Let them retain their damage against vehicles and infantry and add back in the anti air laser if at all possible. Decrease the price by 100 or 200 to make it a more expendable unit killer. This is to make the Storms more of an forward air strike unit that is extremely useful in aggressive pushes because of their newly found power against defenses. So, now USA players must use paradrops and Baracudas more often in order to keep someone's tech down. That shouldn't be a problem since target painter is still available.

Second to bat is the good old Harrier. A classic unit that finally got the model it deserves. I love the armor reduction mechanic and I would hate to see it go. The jet itself is relatively slow and has poor damage against anything but armor. Nobody ever mass Harriers unless against a Centurion. It's a shame because with proper micro this jet can really go a long way. It's ability to snipe soviet miners like fish in a barrel using a shotgun is annoying yes, but we are going to see a lot of anti air buffs next patch. If any changes are to be made it is to give it plus one speed, but decrease the firing rate of its two missiles. Reduce the price by 100 to compensate for the inevitable losses due to the firing rate nerf making Harrier hover around longer. This way, miners have a better chance to be defended.

Finally, we move on to the big bad of the three, the mother fucking Black Eagle. I'm not even sure I need to type out a detailed paragraph explaining all the ways the Black Eagle is broken. But let's just take the fact that four of them can take out a full health Mercury Uplink as an example. The Beagle (as some fondly call it) is everything wrong with jets wrapped in a nice model. Armor, speed, and reload time are all extremely good at a bargain price. A PF player can turtle and deny tech too efficiently at the same time. Many PF player I have played against don't even care losing half of their air force killing a tech building or a super weapon because they know it's easy replace those lost Beagles. Ok, no more complaining. Let's get on with the proposed change: take the cryogenic missile and turn it into an medium sized aoe cyro blast. This blast will do very little damage to buildings, but extremely good against groups of units. The damage wouldn't be great of course, but the cyro field effect will go a long way killing infantry. Keep the armor and health, increase price to 1600.

Don't really think we need jets completely rebalanced. However I do suggest making techs slightly more resilient to jets (say reducing efficiency by 40%?).

About jets
All allied jets are  good at killing buildings and Black Eagles are just the exaggeration.
If this is unintended or a balance issue then the simpler solution is to decrease jet's damage to buildings -all buildings or just tech buildings-
Last suggestions about jets tend to ignore global balance. And are terrible overall.

About Beagle change to like Hailstorm AOE Like i can agree on....But changing there price to 1600 You're bit nuts there....By the time you put Airfield up your broke Less you have more miners or gems...Even then you usually have to defend that airfield for your Seals or MCV Or even your Jets and if eagles were 1600...You're making it even more harder for PF To defend it early game and making them more broke early even if they get one eagle out its not gonna save them or help much and they would have to wait till there enemy is camping in there base or they got money to spend early game so if anything i'd suggest this for Beagles

 

Reduce Beagle Hitpoints to 185 Like the Harrier's Make them do AOE Like Heljet's from hailstorms for infantry killing and tank harassing But lot less damage to buildings Keep the price the same This whould make beagles more fair and less of a annoying thing to deal with Plus giving PF Another infantry killing unit Because lets be honest here....Allies is Infantry killing faction in a nutshell

I was thinking, that in the last few allied missions that you should be able to control the paradox engine, Not the CPU. The time freeze abilty should be on a 1/2hour timer and lasts like 2 mins or just not able to be used.
(Plus plz check out my spaceship will mental omega weapons, its in the fan art thread)
