Found something interesting on the Bloatick wiki page. In this video of MO 3.0, it is claimed to be HQ-origin rather than SC. Do we consider 3.0 info like this as canonical?

In MO 3.3, Bloaticks are replacements for Weavers, which was the MO 3.0 equivalent. They're slightly different units and I don't think you can use the lore of one to describe the other.
In my opinion, the 3.0 videos should not be considered canon any more. There were a few minor updates to the lore from 3.0 to 3.3 which makes the videos slightly inaccurate.
As for whether Bloaticks are HQ or SC. I would say that they come from HQ because SC don't seem to be capable of advanced genetic engineering. But I can't find any evidence of this, so it's best to not make any claims about the Bloatick's origins on the wiki.

Now that the (unofficial) MO APYR Wiki has two new admins, I hope the project to reform the wiki to a much better standard will be underway soon since now the wiki has a pretty much clear administration.
- Changing the campaign missions' Background section to Briefing, which includes the mission's in-game briefing as its name suggests. The Events section should be reformed as well to be less informal and straight to the point.
- Many units and structures' Overview section is incomplete, so they need to be completed.
- Adding missing statistics to units and buildings.
- Completing skirmish and multiplayer map pages.

Would it be possible to get a page with some information on the various armor classes and what they're strong and weak against?
e.g.
Unarmored
Flak
Plate
Cyborg
There are very many special armors in the game, are you going to include them all? Or just the basic types, as it is now?
I think the wisest thing to do would be to include all of the armor types, but grouped to eg: flak armor subtypes, plate armor subtypes, ect. Some armors have quite large differences from their basic type, for example, Libra has flak armor but takes half damage from small arms. I think it would worth mentioning such exceptional cases at the very least.

I admit that the mentioned blog is written in a premature way... It's just too hard to categorize all hundreds of armor sub-types and their scalar against every specific warhead.

So er, time has passed since this topic and the unofficial wiki was developed and had its...hiccups. Is it alright to ask of the fate of the official wiki that was announced before? Because my only current assumption right now is that it might be released by the time the last Act 2 missions are also released (or thereafter).

I would like to see some pages on the wiki about stuff from 1.0 and 2.0. I know the content in those versions is no longer canon, but I spent many happy hours playing 2.0. RIP Chaos Force.

Apparently some community members in the wiki have found some unused units in the game files, the Hindblade, and the Prism Hoplite. Asking for confirmation whether these units will have a place in the distant future, or they will stay unused. Oh, and should we use the term unused content instead of cut content for these two units in the meantime?

Asking for feedback regarding the recent changelog section in the wiki.
Currently, Epsilon and Foehn arsenals feature this (only support powers, and some defenses in Foehn's case are what's missing these changelogs atm), with Epsilon's case going as far as version 1.0, subfaction history included (check out PsiCorps page).
Real issue with this though is if some info are incorrect or missing, since the gaps between versions (1.2-2.0, 2.0psi-3.0, 3.0-3.3) may have some undocumented changes that a regular player/non-beta tester like myself won't find in current official sources.

I used the Wayback Machine to get info off of the old MO sites. Here's a compilation of the info I got. If I get more info, I'll update the doc.

In spite of the unofficial wiki being called a "community-based" one, there are hardly any MO players that are consistently active on the website in question. If the official wiki is to come around anytime soon, there better be a solution to what the unofficial one doesn't really have at the current moment: a team of willing contributors.

It is true that very folks are contributing to the fan-made wiki on a regular basis.I just hope that changes urgently. In spite of the unofficial wiki being called a "community-based" one, there are hardly any MO players that are consistently active on the website in question. Speaking of which,I am thinking of helping out with the wiki.

Keep speculations out of wiki btw. Only known confirmed facts
Don't worry about that. However,I had a look at the wiki and I am not sure what else could be added-it seems self-sustainable right now.

Adding gifs to improve quality of some pages (and demonstrate abilities that can't be shown in a static image). Just wondering if anyone's comfortable or uncomfortable with it.

Then on to the next matters:
- Where are the most appropriate pages to put animated gifs in? Asking for requests here.
- Been thinking about this for quite some time now....I believe that the subfaction pages could be much better if there were community-derived information such as unit strategies and builds in PvP situations, and to a lesser extent, "when to pick this certain subfaction in 1v1/team games". Problem is, this requires competitive experience, which I currently do not have, so I cannot make stuff up without heading into unfavorable outcomes. This is a ridiculous request, but it would be nice if someone who's used to PvP to add some tips or whatnot to these pages.

I assume no one's minding the existence of gifs in the wiki, then?

1. Support powers and SWs of course. And if possible, units with shiny attacks (e.g. iron Dragon and CBoris)
