So, I've done my first second year module, thought y'all might be interested in the finished product: Star Wars' Viper Probe Droid, with a slight twist.

EYE quite like it.  It's a combination of Lucas Arts and Lovecraft.

Cheers. I did actually consider tentacled aliens living inside it at one point.

Lovecraft is more than squid bits.  Big, unblinking eyes in unexpected places are likely the most iconic theme he inspired.  It would look even cooler with fleshly, organic protrusions bulging out of metal seams and crevices.

That is true, but squid bits is what I think of first with him (probably due to Cthulu's cultural presence). I did want to do fleshy parts hanging inside the structure with gaps in the armour to show them off, but it was additional work which I didn't want to squeeze into an already tight deadline.
