• The title should contain the game you are having issues with. CC RA 3 Steam
• What version of the game are you using Steam
• What kind of error do you get and at what time? I have downloaded and installed the application you have provided, once it's installed I click on red alert 3, the games first square splash screen comes up (not the game) but then never launches the game, it just goes away after a min. I have tried clicking hook after deleting and creating a new shortcut in steam while running as admin but then its stated that its supposed to ask permission but never does, when you click the icon on the desktop thats been hooked the steam black first time install box flashes but then never launches the game, not even the square splash so i'm a bit lost. The game works and launches fine without the hook from the shortcut and within steam.
• What operating system are you using? windows 7
• Your error log file.

Oh, actually it ask for your permission only when you don't run C&C:Online as administrator. If you run C&C:Online as administrator, it should hook directly (you will see a tick before Red Alert 3 in the hook menu)

 

Just to be sure, when you have hooked Red Alert 3, and you launch RA3 from shortcut / Steam, will you see a new C&C:Online window appearing?

If yes, that means everything is working properly, you just need to use that C&C:Online program to start your game.

 

Alternatively, you can also try this:

- Disable hooking

- Set your Steam to offline mode, open C&C:Online launcher (preferably run it as administrator), and launch RA3 from C&C:Online.

when i hook the game and click on the cc icon on the desktop nothing happens, the cc online doesnt appear like its supposed to.

I also tried your other recommendation but I'm still having the same issue with just the slash screen appearing then nothing happening.

If the game doesn't load properly, even without launching using the launcher or hooking, you would be much better off going to Steam with the problem. If it's a problem with Steam (rather than C&C:Online) Steam tech support will be much better equipped to deal with it than we are.

Its not a problem with steam though, when I launch it from steam without the online launcher and without it being hooked then it loads fine.

 

Just to clarify, its only your online launcher that i'm having the problems with, steam wont be able to help at all.

Try to start your game from Steam first (preferably in offline mode), then start C&C:Online launcher (preferably with administrator privileges), then click "Red Alert 3" button inside the launcher, maybe this will help.

Hi i have similar prblem then i start game from louncher the spash screen appearing with a window steam error "Application load error 5:0000065434"

Have you tried hooking?

I was having the same issue. I restarted Steam in offline mode, then used the launcher and it worked.

I was getting a "game.dat process not found." in the error log.
