I cannot find a cnc log file in my temp folder to attach.

I am running the game in compatibility mode for windows 7 (I saw this on another thread) and also as administrator.

I have The First Decade edition and can connect to the online lobby and see everyone who is online. I can also create a game and have friends join my game, however, when the friend hits 'ready' and then I hit 'play', a screens comes up for a couple seconds that says "waiting for probe response". I then get a screen that says "cannot connect to other players" and then it takes me back to the lobby. I know it is on my end because my friend can join random games just fine and I can't. One final note is that I am using an Android device for my Mobile Hotspot. I do not think this is an issue since I do not need Port Forwarding but thought I would mention it. Please help me figure this out..I've been scratching my head for hours.

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Try installing this; TFD Unofficial Patch. Also you should be running in Windows compatibility for Windows XP SP3 (running as administrator) and not Windows 7.

I tried both of these suggestions to no avail. I put both the deskto icpon (launcher) and the general zero hour.exe in the game folder to Windows XP sp3 compatibility but then I would get an error saying "please insert the game DVD" so then I had to put it back to windows 7 to get the game to open again. I then downloaded and installed unofficial patch and still could not connect to other players. I then went back and switched the compatibility back to windows xp and now the games at least opens, but I still cannot connect to other players. Any other ideas? Thanks

You should stick with the Windows XP SP3 (and run as administrator). I think, despite the result of the connection test, that you should try port forwarding (if that is possible with your device).

Hi

I got exactly the same problem. My friend can join other games, but I cannot.

I got everything tick as explained at the top.

Try installing this; TFD Unofficial Patch. Also you should be running in Windows compatibility for Windows XP SP3 (running as administrator) and not Windows 7.

I even tried this and at installing, it says a file is missing.

Please help...
