Normal Steam Version, no mods used except custom maps.

Mods installed but none active.Windows 7.

Get no error messages, but no confirmation message appears when i try to hook RA3 and it doesn't open after the splash screen appears. C&C Online excluded from anti-virus. Steam, RA3 and C&C online are all running in administrator. Normally no issues when running RA3.

Can you see the tick sign before Red Alert 3 in the hooking menu?

Hooking is ticked. I managed to get it working, played a few games with friends and now its stopped working again, even though nothing was changed. Same as before, the RA3 shortcut opens nothing and opening RA3 on the launcher brings up the splash screen, but then  nothing happens when it dissapears

Can you try to re-hook your game? (Unhook it first, and hook it again with a new-opened C&C:Online Launcher)
And, from what I've understood, with the game hooked, when you start RA3 from Steam, actually nothing happened (You won't see RA3 splash screen nor C&C:Online launcher), right?
Does Steam shows that your are in-game playing RA3?
And, can you try to run Steam with administrator privileges as well?
What would happen if you try to start RA3 again after the first attempt?

Steam is already running in admin.

Unhooked, closed, reopened and re-hooked, then tried opening from steam, said '...Red Alert -Running) for a couple of seconds before returning to normal, game didn't open, C&C Online didn't open, nor did the RA3 splash screen show.

 

When trying to open the game from steam library or the steam shortcut, shows -running for a couple of second with nothing else happening.
When trying to open the game from the C&C Online client, the splash screen is shown for several second, and the -running appears for a couple of seconds, but nothing else happens.

Nothing different happened when trying a second time, tried with all 3 methods (steam, shortcut, client).

EDIT: Tried restarting steam, making sure its running as admin, no difference.

You can also try this method:

Unhook your game so you can start your game normally;

After having started your game, switch to the desktop, then start C&C:Online, and click the RA3 button inside the launcher.

Then you should be able to log in in the game (but if it failed, the log in will fail with message of "Cannot connect to the backend server").

 

If that doesn't work, you can try to end RA3.exe process with your task manager (If you are using Windows 8 /8.1/10, do not end the process called "Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3" in the process tab, that would terminate the game; Instead, go to Details, find the process called RA3.exe and end it) before starting RA3 from C&C:Online launcher.

 

BTW, FYI we are already developing a new way of getting people online, you won't need to use a launcher (and have these issues) in the future ^ ^

Turns out RA3 isn't working when unhooked either, same issue, might try a reinstall and see if it changes anything.
