Hello,

 

The Mc 40 calamari cruiser is a useful light cruiser, but something looks odd with it: it seems that the front and the back of the ship lack textures, as these 2 parts look like they are painted with dark grey.

 

Could it be a problem with the model? In such a case, there are several good models for this ships (Awakening of the rebellion, Thrawn's revenge, not to mention the SoaSE star wars mods...)

It's a UV mapping problem. Someone was sloppy.

Any plans to fix it?

Don't know about any plans, but if you download say this and a text editor (e.g. notepad++), take a week of your time, and learn how to replace a model in FOC/PR (it's pretty easy, the only annoying thing is adding the new hardpoints), then you'll have your new model.
