In order to arrange the discussion from the client what you're using, read the advice in case if the cheater is online:

  • If you suspect a player (who is cheating with the modified rulesmo.ini file), go to the General CnCNet Chat Channel and type !seen <player name> if he's online or not.
  • If you are in the Mental Omega Channel, just warn the players for a suspecting player by using a chat. Don't spam messages! Administrators (excluding ChanServ) will literally help you making your advice.
  • If you have a game room running, kick a suspecting player to prevent him from rejoining. If the suspecting player do so, ban him instead to prevent from rejoining, it's better if you do this for the first time in that moment.
  • Instead of a open game room, make one with a password to prevent the suspecting player from joining. The password must be unknown to the cheater.
  • Incase if you are ingame, if the suspecting a player who is cheating, take a screenshot and post it here if necessary.

Happy gaming!

I'm not sure if Anti-cheat works properly right now.
We have a guy who was detected by the system but he says its clean and have only music installed.
Then after few games we try to play - with end up with connection problems.
I go to other game lobby and i was flagged by system.
Only think that i done, was Turning off Kapsersky Internet Securtiy to prevent from blocking connection on my side.

Someone told me that it starts detecting modification if you got even a single custom map installed into MO.

Is that why my first (and only so far) attempt at playing online started with a giant warning about my credibility?

You might suspect a player using a modified rulesmo.ini file. I heard about it last night.

In that case you won't even be able to play the mod

Wouldn't be surprised if the rulesmo.ini went around to other people, just as it got to me. But this clearly shows why it's not available officially and openly, for download.

I beleive if one user has modified INI files and the other doesn't, the game will eventually missmatch. Oddly enough, but I constantly had missmatches because of modified artmo.ini (I needed it for map editor to work), and the missmatching factor wasn't even related to that edit: the game detected desynch at last frame of Rahn beam's impact, while the only edited bit of that file was the } symbol replaced with ] in art code of Allied Runway animation. If such a small thing leads to synch loss, then edited rulesmo will cause even more problems.

What he said, this is what players mostly witnessed, I occur it too. Edited the first post to add another advice to take a screenshot for proof.

I recently played a 2v2 with Gfdawg against OBS and dd. I realize someone infiltrate my ally's lab and gain access to build any stolen tech units ingame, OBS did it, he used rulesmo.ini to cheat. I have posted screenshots on my stash (try to click a link there):

If there's any discrepancy of files between you and host you'll get flagged (even if it's the host's fault). Mismatch that's worth flagging for the system includes custom maps as well btw. If you're innocent, then you got nothing to worry about. If you do install custom map, just explain the situation
