I dont remember clearly but i could swear that in one of the trailers for foehn had a unit that worked similiar to the laser wall walker in tiberian sun.

You mean the windbelt? It is still around, but not buildable and its functions have been changed from being a mobile powerplant + wall to mobile wall hub which consumes energy. It can be found on some maps, can't recall if it was the Uragan's map or the Fin&Alize one.

Are you talking about the Foehn Reveal trailer?

Because the only thing I saw in that that resembles a "walker" of any kind shows up around 0:46, and I think that might be an early version of the Last Bastion Megalodon.

Yes, that is the Windbelt, and it is explained here: https://forums.revor...in-22-17032016/

They are still located on the Finalized map.

Apparently it was removed because it didn't work well with the Chinese Wallbuster, which is a poor excuse to cut an interesting and unique mechanic defining the whole faction in favor of some random nuke-lite support power used by a single faction. Not to mention, unlike what its description says, the wallbuster busts pretty much everything, not just walls.

I'm still hoping that the whole Windbelt mechanic will be still retained in the campaign.

Wallbuster is nothing compared to your walls being unable to protect you vs Borillos, Pyros, Ivans, and all their friends.

That's why you use the other traps in conjunction with it. I guess. But I still think it was an interesting mechanic. (Though I wonder, why it can't be made impassable like that?)

It's more about how they're attackable actually

It wasnt just because of wallbuster. Power provided by windbelts was depending on how long you make the walls. Sometimes  if you had huge bases then making windbelt lines seriously hampered your movements. Also, Foehn had worst expanding abilities. Not to mention, there were issues with windbelts causing desyncs during multiplayer games - which was later on fixed but i count it anyway.

I still don't think that's enough reason, it comes with the side being unique. I mean sure, taking it safe is definitely... safer approach, but I still feel something unique was lost. I still hope that they are still retained in the campaign.

It wasn't balanced or fun to use at all.

POINT OUT!!!

0:20 This seems like the mission in which prince Aziz would appear in (You can spawn him using a map editor) (Also, oversized MIDAS in the bottom)

0:22 It seems as if the soviets are protecting.. something? And it appears as if it's not their work (Made by kanewaga industries)

0:24 Soviets protecting their prized nuke collection with several mastodon prototypes??? in the back

0:26 China protecting some important building I dunno

0:36 Foehn mission of some sort, I say it's a mission because there is an unknown building in the background

Actually, all of those Soviets protecting Foehn stuff are Chinese. And the thing they are protecting at 0:22, is the thing on that Soviet loading screen that is theorized to be Heartwork, an upcoming mission in 3.3.1. Hence why I can't wait! Hell, after "the winds are changing" part, all the footage shown, with the exception of 0:20 (which is interesting, as it shows Scorpion Cell as non-purple, meaning that there's at least one "main" Epsilon faction in the mission; maybe this is the theorized Scorpion Cell betrayal mission?), is the Chinese protecting Foehn stuff. It might be pretty much showing the key events and missions leading up to the creation of Foehn.

Maybe scorpion cell is just a cell of a much bigger organisation.

Who is Prince Aziz anyway?

0:26 China protecting some important building I dunno

My guess is a Chinese main headquarter, and i think that screenshot has similar place in mission Power Hunger, a mission after Heartwork
Well, maybe in Power Hunger all Soviet combined forces will put Chinese to the heel, totally.
