Edain mod 1 and the modding around it

As you people might know, there is an edain mod 1 for BFME1.

A pretty old mod which I really like, since it's in german and my (and my friends) native language isn't german

and as I wanted to get into modding in general for a long time I thought that for my own sanity and for my friends ones

I could try and translate the mod, add some soundbytes that are missing and perhaps even add some things.

Its not like I want to publish it, it is just for my own experience with modding and 'game' developement since I want to become some sort

of software dev when I finish uni.

I already looked into the edain files but I can't find the things that I'm looking for

I hope you people can help!

For the translation, you'll have to look in the lotr.str file. It's been years since I had Edain 1 installed so I'm a bit unsure of how its installed (though I assume it's into the games main directory) but that is the file you're looking for.

But since you don't install edain 1 you move the .big files and the edainasset in the bfme folder

I couldn't find the file you were telling me where it is in.

You have to look into the _zEDAIN.big for the path data\lotr.str.
For the Soundfiles you have to replace the right files in the _zEDAINgerman.big
