Hey guys, so I'm sort of new to the whole gaming forum thing and to c&c online. I'm trying to set this up for a few friends and me for old times sake, and I could really use somebody knowledgeable in this area to explain some stuff:

Currently I've got the GenTool setup, obviously my revoraForums account setup, and I'm trying to access multiplayer online for C&C Generals ZH. It says to "Check [my] internet connection", but there's nothing wrong with it, and I've tried with and without firewalls. I just checked the C&C online webpage and it says the servers are "Offline". Could this be the cause of the problem, and if so, will they ever come back on??? Thanks guys.

The servers are up and running. You might have a firewall problem.

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

Thanks for responding!

Really? I should have at least extrapolated that much from the running forums-- I did, but I'm still lacking in technical knowledge of the subject matter. If it does indeed happen to be a firewall problem, any idea on how to fix it? Is it simply deactivating them to try it, or is there another problem that'd need fixing?
