[RESOLVED]ZH suddenly lost ALL connectivity

Best Answer kABUSE, 25 February 2017 - 02:35 AM

So... the connectivity batch file tells me that NAT Negotiation doesn't work.

I checked and it's true. My ISP does fuck this up and I am unable to forward ports, ISP does NOT allow this.

To workaround this problem, I have just PURCHASED and installed a VPN service. Now the batch file spits out this:

Using server nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Bound to local port 59687
Bound to local alternate port 59688
Resolving hostname 'nntest.cnc-online.net'...
Resolved server host to be '37.247.49.213'
Sending client INIT from port 59687 to nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Received server INIT [448580]
Our public address is 178.162.198.109:59687
Sending client INIT2 [448580] from port 59688 to nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Received server INIT2 [448580]
Our alternate public address is 178.162.198.109:59688
Sending cient START [448580] from port 59688 to nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Received server START [448580]
Server extra port is 40000
Sending client PING [448580] from port 59687 to nntest.cnc-online.net:40000
Received server PING(2) [448580]
Received server PING(3) [448580]
Received server PING(4) [448580]

Received 3 pings from nntest.cnc-online.net:40000.
NAT negotiation works with your router and connection.
==> You do not have to use port forwarding.

And guess what.

There is still not a SINGLE person I can connect to.

Please help.. and sorry for the triple post. Not my normal style. Tired and stuff.. this is the second night I am spending trying to fix this game.

Update #1000:

Now I only had to pick the Online IP correctly, it's working now, lol. Oh and it's only 4:20 am yet!!! Nice.... so let's.. go to bed -.-

So after a 3 years break I started playing ZH again.

Using W10 64Bit Enterprise in Test Mode to get the SecuRom Driver running, all working fine.

Using the normal ZH Version, I only installed Gentool, used Windows XP SP3 compatibility Mode, no Ports forwarded, no firewall settings, but everything worked totally fine. No connection issues whatsoever.

Then suddenly, after 2 weeks the Window Firewall asks me for the very first time ever, if I wish to allow game.dat access to network, which I, of course, confirmed.

Everything is broken every since then. Can't even get a 1v1 working, 100% loss of all connectivity to any and all players. I pretty much did everything I could think of in an attempt to fix the issue. Tried all compatiblity Modes, all Options settins, forwarded ALL the ports, opened and allowed every program remotely connected to ZH full access to anything, also tried disabling windows firewall completely, deleted all Options Settings, Reset Firewall to Defaults, tried DMZ etc. etc.

In a last attempt I installed the revora launcher, opened port 16,000, followed all the guides I could find on these forums, but nothing. I can't connect to anybody anymore.

This is pretty much my last chance in getting this game working again.

It appears your router and/or connection is not capable of NAT negotiation.
==> You will need to use port forwarding and possibly configure a static port.
