Hello, recently me and my friend wanted to play Zero Hour and Shockwave, and sadly not going as intended, atleast Shockwave what we can see, we will shortly test if ZH works as standalone.

Any help to directly make it so that we can play together ( fix on two of my computers, one on his, ) and I hope to reward you kindly with a game code as thank you for your help. Both of us got Teamviewer so if you need to connect remotely to most easily make settings ( even ingame), no problem. Note, it is not just to be sure ZH works, but foremost, Shockwave mod to work online together.

So far, this is the information I can offer:

Me: Ultimate Collection ( Origin Digital) , no crack or anything similar used.

Friend: Original classic game with its key. Using " no cd crack" .

Computer 1 and 2: Computers in my home that I use to play with my friend, Computer 3.

Computer 3: My friends computer, that he uses to play with me, computer 1 and 2.

Both: Got latest ZH patch, Shockwave update, Gentool, accounts on CNC Online/Revora. Also Hamachi installed ( but has not worked well so for purposes, ignore it for now, we have inactivated it and checked IP online ). Also added the port 16000 and tested with the server tester tool, that we connect correctly. Also, CNC online and games, run in compatibility mode and as admins.

Problem 1, computer 1 & 3:  We enter lobby, enter each others game, but not too long after we play abit, we get disconnected ( dont remember error message but will note down ! )

Problem 2, All: We enter the lobby of CNC Online, we can see each other briefly ( occasionally disappearing ), we try to create games and join each other, but nothing comes up.

Problem 3 All: We tried direct connect but says connection timed out, and we were in same network (Hamachi ), but didnt work, be it because of the above or a seperate issue related to only Hamachi.

Hope this is enough information to get started, feel free to ask for more information that I may have missed, and I will add it in to my post. Anyone feeling they wish to try through Teamviewer, PM me, hopefully a mod ( prioritised ) can help out, otherwise, first come first serve, however, I will rotate on each session, so that the one that SOLVES the problem, gets the game code, not the one putting in most work and such, be aware :) !

I thank you for reading, glad to join the community, and hope to have this solved,as its the first time for my friend playing Generals, and I cant wait to have a blast playing it with him.

Update:

Now my friend cannot enter CNC online, gets the error message " cannot connect to CNC online ".  We also tries this with ZH and shockwave, no difference. We also removed CNC online launcher as seems we only need Gentool for ZH/Shockwave play. Lan does not work either, be it with SWR.net for Shockwave, nor for Hamachi either.

1. If you have the Generals from the Ultimate Collection bundle, please make sure that you've also installed the fixed launchers:

http://bibber.eu/dow...tion-launchers/

2. If you've set up port forwarding (UDP 16000) in your router, make sure you type 16000 in game's network option as well, in the Firewall Port Override field.

3. You may want to disable Hamachi when you are playing on C&C:Online. You shouldn't have any IP addresses starting with 25.x.x.x in game's network options. Choose your local IP address (192.168.x.x) as your IPs in game's network options.

4. Make sure that you and your friend aren't sharing the same router (i.e. not inside the same physical LAN).

If your friend (which cannot connect to C&C:Online) has Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10, then he can run this connection test tool:

Open Windows Powershell (you can find it by typing powershell in the start menu search bar)

Write

Test-NetConnection peerchat.server.cnc-online.net -port 6667

And press Enter, then post the test result here.

1: Forgot to mention, I got the launcher, but is it just to install ? Since afterwards I dont see anything different, same launchers for ZH/Shockwave.

2: UDP port changed for me and friend but nothing happened. He made however some other changes on his own and now we see each other online atleast in the servers ( ZH, not Shockwave ).

3: Yeah hamachi is disabled so issue there yet.

4: Ah nono, he is in USA, I am in Sweden.

If your friend (which cannot connect to C&C:Online) has Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10, then he can run this connection test tool:

I tried that tool and works for me, so Ill see next time if that helps in any way.

Current situation:

On Computer 1 and 3 ( me and friend ), we find each other on ZH online, but I cant create game since he doesnt see it, only he can so I can enter. However now, my friend gets the infamous " you have encountered a serious error ". Either at start or shortly later after playing abit ( only him, and only ZH ).

I tried a game with ZH online and had no issues, and would be good if someone can try out shockwave with either of us to see if its something on both our ends or just one. On a sidenote, my friend has some issues with Origins ( hammared him to try solve it hehe XD ) so that if the simplest solution is to get the Ultimate Collection for him on Origin, I will once he gets it solved, but think that the issue is somehow something else..

And oh to add, both my computers are win 10 64, his is 7 64.

So any other suggestions, solutions or help is appreciated :)
