Thought I'd make a topic because this will be pretty epic! One of the best Master System games ever and one of my favourite early childhood games is being remade for modern hardware in beautiful, hand drawn and animated art. Even though there is a lot more work to it, I called it a remaster because it's totally faithful, to the point where you can actually swap between the original games graphics and sounds and the new stuff for comparison. It even supports the password system from the original game, which is f*cking insane.

For those who never played it, the game was essentially a cross between an RPG and an action platformer. You had all these interconnected rooms you could freely travel between and explore, kill enemies to collect money and buy items to boost your abilities. You fought bosses, which when defeated, allowed you to transform into different humanoid creatures with different abilities, allowing you to progress to parts of the game previously inaccessible, a lot like a metroidvania.

Never heard of it.  I'll buy it.
