I dunno the conscript cameo wasn't my favourite.

I like current MO conscript cameo, but Flak Trooper looked like he's holding a shotgun like weapon as opposed to his launcher-like flak cannon

I was not entirely sure that changing Soviet basic infantry into Helghast troops was a good idea, but later on I just shrugged and kept playing.

 

The new Conscript cameo looks fine as it is, but I agree on the Flak Trooper cameo: hiw weapon looks like a small rifle-type thing, while his sprite clearly shows a huge launcher on his shoulder.

Stranger yet is the Arsonist, who looks even more like a Helghast in his cameo, looks completely different in-game, and has a (very cool) voice that doesn't quite fit with either image.

I kinda agree with the above statement, the Arsonist's cameo looks a bit out of place. The problem with vanilla cameos is that they all use a palette with a limited number of colors (255 IIRC), which inherently results in bad quality. Ares allows the use of high quality, .pcx format cameos, and I'm pretty sure that MO uses those.

The Original Conscript Cameo was wearing a Faceplate Mask though similar to the Flak Trooper. They still looked off for me, though I guess most people just dislike it for its overall style of them looking like they're in a burning landscape with that orange colors.

The original Conscript cameo was a mess. The Flak Trooper itself looked good on the cameo, but the bg should be changed from the ground up if it would return.

Disregarding the name on the concept art yeah the Conscripts really did just wear Trench Coats with some bits of metal armor on some areas.
