Hey there,

I used to be able to play online but after not playing for a while I get the error as written in the topic name.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  • What version of the game are you using (Normal, The Ultimate Collection, The First Decade; are you on Origin, are you on Steam) - DISK
  • What kind of error do you get and at what time? Be as precise as possible! - Can not connect to backend server, when I try to log in for online play
  • What operating system are you using? (Windows 8, Vista, etc) - Windows 10
  • Your error log file. This can be found by typing %TEMP% into your Windows search bar. The file you need is called CNCOnline_Log.txt. You may upload it into your post or copy and paste its contents. - This file is empty? o.0
  • If you cannot connect to other players, also do this:
    1. Disable port forwarding and DMZ in your router.
    2. Download the connection diagnostic tool here: http://server.cnc-on.../NATNegTest.rar
    3. Extract it into a folder and double-click on the .bat file.
    4. Copy-paste the output to your help topic

I already tried disabling the firewall and running as administrator.

Hope you can help me out.

So I started the game, waited to get the error and then upon failure, with the game open, tried to open the log file.

That worked :) So here's the errorlog:

----- C&C:Online Launcher Start -----
Game: Red Alert 3
Red Alert 3 Install Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Red Alert 3\
Started game with: "RA3.exe "
Caught CREATE_PROCESS_DEBUG_EVENT from Red Alert 3. Detaching...

ERROR: game.dat process not found.
