You shouldn't use the launcher at all to launch Generals or Zero Hour (that is where that error comes from). Uninstall the launcher and install GenTool. Then just start the game normally (from its normal shortcut).
If you are using the Ultimate Collection from Origin, you should install this first; C&C Ultimate Collection Launchers
If you have the First Decade, try this; TFD Unofficial Patch

When ever i attempt to connect to zero hour online, it tells me that the installation is not found. the game is run through orgins, but is absolutely installed on my computer. i dont know where to start and any help would be appreciated.
