NAT negotiation works with your router and connection.
==> You do not have to use port forwarding.

so pls help me figure out whats wrong with my connection and why i drop instantly when the match start ?

Did you set Windows XP SP3 compatibility (and run as Admin) for your game? Not doing that can cause similar symptoms.

Did you fix your problem? I too have Windows 10 and nothing from here works:

https://forums.revor...sues-solutions/

The Port tool says  SUCCESS and that I dont need port forwarding. I did it anyway (port 16000 as in the above link). But the tool uses ports 30000 and 40000 for checking. Should i forward these instead?

Anyway. I have tried the origin ultimate bundle (+ Bibbers Connection patch) and a standalone generals + ZH and nothing worked...

I found the solution! Moderators please add this to the Common Issues - Connection Problems Pinned Thread (https://forums.revor...sues-solutions/)

Please spread the news to all players with newish internet connections! Took me a week to find this out..

I have a relatively new internet connection (UPC Austria 75Mbit - Router Technicolor TC7200.U) which uses IPV6. Here is how my connection looked on http://ipv6-test.com/ BEFORE I solved my problem:

https://ibb.co/hsfK6Q

There is also a Ping Tester button and when I clicked that I would timeout on IPV4, but correctly ping IPV6. I assume you must be able to ping IPV4 as Zero Hour is an old game.

Here`s how i fixed it:

You have to call your ISP and ask them to flag your connection for/as IPV4.

After my ISP did that AND I restarted my router i got this:

https://ibb.co/ipXXRQ

https://ibb.co/maNct5

As you can see IPV6 appears disabled and I now ping IPV4 and IPV6 times out instead. Also notice how the section DNS has changed!

I CAN NOW CONNECT TO EVERYONE IN ZERO HOUR ONLINE.

Infos on my other settings:

Windows 10

I have NO ports forwarded and use a dynamic IP (DHCP)

Ingame option: Port override = empty. Send Delay NOT ticked. My IP 192.168.0.x appears in both online and network areas in the options.

Generals.exe in compatibility mode + run as admin ticked.

Firewall: generels.exe added as exception - but the windows firewall is turned off anyways.

Thank you for posting that.    :thumbsuphappy:    For the benefit of people whose ISPs are not able to support IP4, you can use a VPN to accomplish that.     Many are available for free.    Google for one near you.
