----- C&C:Online Launcher Start -----

Game: Red Alert 3
Red Alert 3 Install Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3\
Started game with: "RA3.exe "
Caught CREATE_PROCESS_DEBUG_EVENT from Red Alert 3. Detaching...
ERROR: game.dat process not found.

When hooking, I'm not getting a confirmation that it did? Though the tick appears beside RA3.
Launching the game will not work, I get a RA3 splash loading screen and then disappears.
At first I got the "CA public key patching routine failed", that doesnt seem to appearing now but issue remains.
Also on occasion I received a weird windows sound when trying to launch it.

Thx in advance.

From the Common Issues & Solutions thread...

- I'm having trouble using C&C:Online with Steam.
- Solution: Open the C&C:Online launcher and use the Hook menu to hook your game.
1. Go into Steam and create a desktop shortcut for your game.
2. Open the C&C:Online launcher and go to the hooking menu. Hook your game. When Hooking, you should receive a prompt asking for your confirmation, this is how you know it worked. If you don't receive anything and the issue still occurs, check your anti-virus (Norton especially) as they are known to delete the hooking file. Add an exception for C&C:Online.
3. Launch the game using the shortcut Steam made for it on your desktop (if you don't have a shortcut, go into Steam and make one). The launcher should pop up, so select your game and off you go

Hmm but I did all that. I'm not receiving a prompt though? I have windows defender, I also added exclusions.

Created shortcut

Installed CConline
Added Hook (getting no prompt)

Yet the tick appears besides RA3
Launch from the shortcut
Steam loading flashes quickly and then nothing?

Set the shortcut to RA3 and C&C:Online to run as administrator. It might be a permissions problem.

Tried already with CCOnline, but RA3 shortcut doesnt have compability mode nor shift+rmb shows no "run as admin..".

Let's bypass that issue. Go to the Control Panel (not Settings), go to User Accounts, choose your account, and click "Change User Account Settings". In the window that you get, drag the slider all the way to the bottom and press OK.

Checked it, and it's already in the bottom.

Also, check if your antivirus and/or firewall is blocking connections from ra3_1.12.game (in the Data folder in your RA3 directory) and the file ToxicShock sent you.

Ran the test which failed obviously:

Failed to receive any pings from nntest.cnc-online.net:40000.

It appears your router and/or connection is not capable of NAT negotiation.
==> You will need to use port forwarding and possibly configure a static port.
Press any key to continue . . .

So I logged in my router, it seems like I should be able to do somekinda port forwarding though I'm not sure how exactly, should I just enter all the ports listed here for RA3 https://portforward.com/ports.htm,
So if it's '80' should be added like so:

RA3 uses a many ports, and actually its port-forwarding settings does not work properly (but it does work for previous games, like C&C3 or Kane's Wrath), so you may need to set up a DMZ instead.

What is DMZ?

Demilitarized Zone - opening all ports except those already forwarded: http://www.tp-link.com/us/FAQ-28.html

Each router has a different way of doing this, so check that for your model online.

It just means that everything that comes in gets sent to your computer and not any other computers on the network. Remove any port forwarding you tried to set before you apply that.
