No, we don't give up that easily here. :smile2ap:  Could you go make a completely new account on the web site and use a different email address to either of the first two you used?

I see you have created a new record on the game server but the email field is empty. Let's make a completely new account with a different email address and get that working. Once it's working, I will transfer everything onto the new account (including your preferred email address). Please just make sure that the new address you use works.

Good Day.  I have asked for help on this topic already, but thus far nothing has worked.  I signed up on the Revora Forums, and I clicked on the validation link when I received the e-mail request.  I show up in the new members area, and I can log onto Revora with no problems.  However, I am still getting the error message trying to log into the C&C-Online server:

  • This account has not been activated yet. Please follow the activation link sent to you by e-mail.

I am using the same username and password I use for Revora.  I am operating Windows 7 on a PC with location services turned off.  I am behind 2 firewalls, one real time virus checker, and my browser will not accept third party cookies.  I also have over 200,000 spybots blacklisted.  Location services are turned off because I am on a cable system and the location provided is not correct, it is the location of the cable company.

I can temporarily change the security settings on my computer if that is what is causing the problem, but I saw that you do not want me to create a new account with a different user name with the hopes this problem won't occur again.

One other piece of information that may be important.  The first e-mail account I tried to use never received the validation message (not in Inbox, Spam, or Junk).  I believe this is because it was a verizon.net address which some internet providers think, inaccurately, is no longer valid.  Actually, verizon.net users were allowed to keep their e-mail addresses and port them over to AOL.  In any case, I changed my e-mail address to a gmail account which received the validation message and I did follow the link after that.

Can you please help?  A cannot do any kind of setup until I can get logged into the CNC server.

Unfortunately, I think there was a fault on the day you registered. I have caused the validation email to be sent again. Please could you keep a look out for it and validate if you get it. Please tell me either way.

Thank you once again, ToxicShock, for trying to help.  Unfortunately, I have not received a new validation e-mail dated today's date, and I still cannot log into C&C.  Yes, I checked my junk mail and spam folders.  I realize you are four hours ahead of me (due to daylight savings time, not 5 like it is in the winter), but your message was dated today at 04:19 which would be 00:19 here, so I definitely have not received a new validation.  I am beginning to think the only choice is to pick a new user name and re-register, after which time you can de-activate my old account.  I realize you can't delete an account from reading other threads on the forum.  I also have no problem logging into forums.revora.net...only the C&C Online.  Don't worry, I won't take any action until I hear back from you.

OK before you do that, please check that the email you want to use is working. If you want to use the same email address you are using for this account, please let me know in advance or we will have more problems.

I think what happened is that I signed up originally on the C&C Online website with a verizon.net address.  I never received the validation email in any folder, suggesting that either my ISP blocked the message or, as you say, there was a hiccup on the server.  So, I changed my email address to a gmail.com address which I know works because I received the validation e-mail and activated my revora.net account.  Somehow, I don't think the changed e-mail ever ported over to the C&C website.  Now that my revora.net account is activated and I am listed as a member, a new validation of the account does not work because I am already validated.   This is why I think I need to change my Siera20Bravo back to the verizon.net address, then create a new account with a new user name using the gmail.com e-mail account.  That way, the e-mails will match and the verification will occur.

My only question to you would be "Is C&C Online trying to put a third party cookie on my browser?"  If that is the case, then that could also be the problem.  I am protected by quite a bit of security, including rejection of third party cookies.  I could temporarily change my security settings during the validation process if necessary.

Alright.   I have removed you from the Game Server database entirely.    Please could you try to log into the Web Site again using your credentials from here (including your gmail address).     Hopefully, that should repopulate the Game Server database.    I don't know what is meant by 3rd party cookies.     The Web Site does use session cookies and I guess you are going to have to allow them.

Thanks for trying ToxicShock.  It didn't work.  Apparently, I am not intended to use a server located across the big pond.  Thanks for trying, I guess I will just keep fighting the computer opponent, despite how predictable it has become.

Problem solved, Toxic Shock.  I am registered in Revora and in C&C Online as Siera20Alpha.  Now, all I have to do is go through the docs to make sure I have all required updates and mods, etc.  I am sure I can get that figured out now that I am logged as a registered user.  Thank you so much for the help.
