Okay so Rise of the Witch King is completely updated, new game dat, 2.02, and completely functional on it's own.

But when I try to run the T3A launcher and start up ROTWK up through T3A I keep getting the error: " ***FATAL*** string manager failed to initialize properly"

I have run as administrator multiple times, I have looked everywhere, and I have found no solutions to this problem.

I would love to start playing online with ROTWK

Run the unofficial patch launcher (to be found in the game directory) and try again. Make sure you run as admin and bfme2 is on 1.06.

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

Okay, so the " ***FATAL*** string manager failed to initialize properly" error occurs when I start up the t3a online launcher alone, and run ROTWK from there. This is with running as administrator and BFME2 on 1.06. However, when I hook the t3a launcher to rotwk, and use the unnoficial ROTWK launcher to start the game, one instance of t3a pops up. When I hit the ROTWK button on THIS instance of t3a, ANOTHER t3a is launched. When I hit the ROTWK button on this second instance, the game launches, but when I try to log in online, the game soft locks and doesnt let me leave the online screen.

Edit: just to clarify, I can run the game just fine on its own, without the t3a online functionality. I want to play online though.

What's in your launcher logfile? It is in your %TMP% directory.

----- T3A:Online Launcher Start -----

Game: RotWK

RotWK Install Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\

Started game with: ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe"   -ead_gl_nogenerate "

Caught CREATE_PROCESS_DEBUG_EVENT from RotWK. Detaching...

ERROR: game.dat process not found.

Okay.. something to do with my game.dat then. Obviously.

I installed ROTWK from origin, so I don't have a cracked file. Any ideas?

It's just a bunch of scripts, but they should have it. Maybe they don't want to give it out.
