Right, so when I try to connect/host with RA 3, after hitting 'login' I get the message 'The specified account or subaccount name was not found'.

Game version: Steam

Windows 7

error log:

----- C&C:Online Launcher Start -----
Game: Red Alert 3
Red Alert 3 Install Path: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer Red Alert 3\
Started game with: "RA3.exe "
Caught CREATE_PROCESS_DEBUG_EVENT from Red Alert 3. Detaching...
Found game.dat process. PID 3256

I haven't tried with other games yet, but have a sinking feeling i'll have similar troubles.

You're entering your email address at log in without the @ character.       eg emailusergmail.com   not emailuser@gmail.com

I don't see how I could have made a mistake like that, but that was indeed the case. However, now its just popping up saying 'Cannot connect to Red Alert 3 Online'. Error log reads the same, except for PID which reads 'PID 6792'.

It looks like you're failing to connect to TCP port 6667 (the Peer Chat port).     It's not so easy to test whether that port is blocked using Windows 7.   The cabal company say they do not block ports in their literature.      Is your internet service a domestic service?

Is it possible for you to ask them whether TCP port 6667 is being blocked by them?      If they say "no", we will have to keep looking for the problem.

E: Alternatively, you could try this program;

https://www.microsof...s.aspx?id=24009

If you ran that program, enter PEERCHAT.SERVER.CNC-ONLINE.NET in the "enter destination IP......"  box, select "manually input query ports" and enter 6667 (leaving TCP selected).

The output should tell you whether that port is reachable.

In the further alternative, we could try to set you up with a VPN, which would side step this problem (if it exists).   It's best to avoid that if we can though.

OK, it looks like we will have to try a VPN.      You are best googling for a free one near you.   I have to tell you though, some are better than others, so you may have to try a few.     There is something about it ; here.

Well, none of those three worked. First link just killed my internet while it was running. Second just didnt work, nor did the third.

And since I'm too paranoid to risk just searching around, it seems I'm just screwed until I ask a friend who works in IT for help. Unless you have other ideas, of course.

Sorry, all I have left is to suggest that you change ISP to one that doesn't block that port.
