Hello,

 

I'm new to C&C Online, so I apologize if I am doing something wrong. I am trying to download the C&C:Online Launcher version 2.0.7 off your website and google says "This site can't be reached"  "server.cnc-online.net took too long to respond." Timed out.

 

Can someone help me?

I can't see any picture, but I would have said that the error must be caused by your anti virus.       You are going to have to fix that before you install the launcher anyway (or you will have all kinds of problems).    I have attached a zipped copy of the install file to this post but I can't see you having much luck unless you disable the anti virus or white list the file.

 

What game are you planning to play, anyway?    There might be other solutions to this.

Hello,

 

I tried downloading from two computers and I don't have any anti virus program installed. I also tried two browsers for the download (chrome and firefox). I plan on playing Kane's Wrath from Origin. If it helps, I notice that on cnc-online.net, it states "servers down" in red. Does that mean anything to you?

 

I also tried to ping the following website using cmd. Here is the response:

Alright, I discovered some more information. For starters, I am at a university and live on campus. So they are my ISP

 

I was able to download the zip file from https://cnc-online.net/en/download/ on my phone using data. I was also able to download the file using a http://www.underget.com/. I believe this is a proxy server.

 

Do you think my university blocked your website/server? Should I contact them?

You should speak to them, indeed.    I have to tell you that, if that protocol is blocked, it is very likely that other services you need will also be blocked.    You should ask them if they block the Peer Chat port (TCP port 6667).    That port is commonly blocked by institutions and if it is blocked, you won't get online.     They may also block incoming UDP.     If that is the case, you will probably have to use a proxy / VPN service.

I contacted the IT department yesterday evening and they are investigating. I'll keep you posted on the results - should know something early next week.

Alright, so the university had server.cnc-online.net blackedlisted, and has been unblocked. It is working, however, I have a new problem...

 

When I open the launcher and click Kane's Wrath, a popup appears and states, "Missing required file "ssleay32.dll"." Any thoughts on this?
