I've been fighting with this for a couple of hours now but haven't made much ground. I've set up my account, activated it, downloaded CnCOnline, hooked Red Alert 3, etc. So I start my Red Alert 3 in steam where it brings me to the cnc online launcher; so obviously this part is working. I click on the star in the top right corner and enter my information: email, password, and online id. It give me a generic error, "cannot connect to Red Alert 3 Online." I think, okay so my password is wrong. I reenter my password and get the same thing; I enter a different password and get an error saying that is the wrong password. So now I know that it can connect on some level and tell me that is the wrong password. I check if anything is getting caught in my firewall or if cnc online doesn't have permissions to make changes but everything is clear. Then I noticed that I had used the same email for cnc online as I did for EA so I change my cnc online password in a hope that there was a strange conflict. This is where I actually get something different. I go back and enter my new email with the old password and online id. I get a totally different error now. Now it tells me that the email address that I entered isn't found to be associated with any subaccount, or something similar... sub-something. At this point I think I've set something up wrong and I just need to start over. Uninstall, make a new forum name password, reinstall, etc. I'm back at square one. Except there is no changes. I've been on the forums during this time and I saw the common issues message and haven't had any luck finding my problem exactly. I'll probably have to check this tomorrow so I'm sorry if something gets posted in reply and I'm not here to see it quickly. Thanks.

Hi, if you have Windows 10, you can do this to test your connection:
Write "Powershell" in the Start Menu search bar, and then open Windows PowerShell.
Then write
Test-NetConnection peerchat.server.cnc-online.net -port 6667
and post the result here.

Edit: That picture really turned out much smaller than I thought and I typed it wrong so I'll type my results...

Hi guys. Sorry for bumping this thread when it isn't directly my issue, but I was actually trying to play with DairyQueen and that's why I recommended CNC Online so I'm hoping this issue gets resolved.
I'm not sure if you guys are super busy or maybe this topic just slipped your mind, but is there any additional information you can provide on how this problem can be fixed? If you think it's something silly on our end (like network configuration or something similar), just let us know. We've had similar problems before, but can't be 100% sure it's the same problem this time.
Thanks guys, I appreciate CNC Online and all the help you give out to users like us.

Those test results show that the Peer Chat port is being blocked. Some ISPs do that and quite a few institutional networks. You do need that service to play online (always have done since gamespy). If you can't get whoever is blocking the service (if it's a University, ask the IP department) to unblock it, you will have to use a VPN to work around the problem (or use a different internet service). You should be able to find a free VPN near you. He are a few that are know to work;
