Hey guys,

 

i used to play ZH (Ultimate Collection on Origin) with your tool 2 years ago. Now i have changed location and provider (Unity Media - Germany) but i am getting connection problems.

When i try to play with a friend, the connection is always failing. I also tried playing with random ppl, sometimes the connection is working, sometimes failing. 

 

I already read, that there are problems with IPv6, but i dont get the point, why sometimes my connection is working and sometimes not.

 

My operation system is Windows 8, i downloaded the connection diagnostic tool and there were no problems with my connectivity.

 

I am running CnC Online as admin in windows 7, checked my firewall settings and put port 16000 in the options.

First thing is that you are using the C&C:Online launcher, which is bound to give you problems and you don't need it. GenTool does the work of the launcher, so I suggest you install that if you haven't already and just launch the game normally.

I think Unity Media can support IP4 optionally. Could you check with them? In the meantime, the connection test in How to Report Issues should tell us more. Please run that and post the results in here.

I have installed GenTool and i am not using the c&c online launcher.

I used to play the whole setup 2 years ago, Could it be, that the change of my router is the problem?

I have called my custom service.

They told me, i am on DS-Lite and offered me a buisness connection, where ipv4 would be fully available. 

 

But no idea, if this would change it or if a static ipv4 adress would be necessary :/

You do not need to have a static IP 4 address (as such).    A "dynamically allocated" address is fine.    DS-Lite won't cut it though.        You could use a VPN to side step the problem if you want, although getting full IP4 support from your provider would be better.     

 

Anyway, you should still be able to get online, the problems will only arise when you try to connect to other players.      Can you confirm that you can get online?

That's true, I can get online and can join all lobbys and games. The strange part is, rarly when I start a game, i can connect to few players, but mostly the connection to the other players is not working.

I tried to side step the problem by using VPN (windscribe), but i never get a connection to the servers. Is it possible that a specific ip range is blocked by your servers?

 

Which VPN tool should i use to get a connection?
