Hi. I've got problems connecting to other players on Kane's Wrath, version 1.02.

Whenever I join a game or another player joins my created game, I always get "poor connection" symbol under "ping". The only exception is then the other player joins through the same router at my home. Then everything works fine. I've tried port forwarding and other potential solutions as I googled the issue, but nothing seems to work. Maybe the problem is with the router? I use Technicolor TG582n. BTW, I've tried on one other router and get the same problem.

Connection test results:

Using server nntest.cnc-online.net:30000

It appears your router and/or connection is not capable of NAT negotiation.
==> You will need to use port forwarding and possibly configure a static port.

Errrg, I see. You will have to set your PC as the DMZ. You will need to google that router to find out how to do that. Unfortunately, from memory, it is not easy to do that on that router but please have a look.

Thanks for answering. Unfortunately, you're correct. Indeed, I can't seem to find a way to activate DMZ on my router.

I found a tutorial online that should enable DMZ, but when clicking "Assign the public IP address of a connection to a device" in the router settings I get "No compatible connection found". Further searching for solution that would work gave no results. Maybe I should just buy a new router.

I think that that would be worth thinking about, indeed.
