After I pressed on log on comes the message "no connection to the backend server failed"

Missing required file "ssleay32.dll"

The answer to that is in Common Issues & Solutions under "Launcher Issues"
I have a better solution but I cannot help you with that unless I see your error log; How to Report Issues .
In the meantime, you should install this if you are using the Ultimate Collection; C&C Ultimate Collection Launchers
