Edit: I found the solution to this, "UseSparkParticles=yes" broke the mechanic for some reason.
I am currently making a YR mod with Ares and try to make a "Repair Disc" with the same logic as the IFV Engineer weapon.
The problem is that, as the disc approaches the target vehicle it stops before it gets into range. Changing the range of the weapon does not change the outcome as it will only stop further away.
The repair mechanic works like a charm if I make the disc a ground unit, but that is hardly a solution. Is it even possible to make a flying repair unit?
It must be related to the range and how aircraft approximates its targets. I can manually move the disc over a vehicle and then the repair will work. But then again, that is hardly a good solution.
