I finally fixed everything this morning. I was able to get Kane's Wrath and Red Alert 3 to login correctly. Now, only a fews hours later I get this "Could no connect to the backend server" message.
Any ideas on what to do?

Check that the IP address shown in Options->Settings->Network is an address on the network you use to connect to the internet (probably 192.168 or 10. something). If there is more than one address, select the other one. That is usually the cause when that connection stops working like that because Hamachi (and similar) drivers can hijack that option so you try to connect via that. If the IP address starts with 25. that is probably what has happened.
Are you using Windows 10?

@Pereotis
Make sure the Launcher is setup correctly.
Hook the game, close the launcher. Then launch the game by shortcut, to the left click on the game you've just hooked.
Hopefully that'll solve the issue, usually you'll get this message when the game's still trying to connect to the official Gamespy server which was shutdown a long time ago.
