This is time first time trying to set up gentool and login to the server, but still can't connect to the server. I'm on Windows 7, so can't run the Powershell command given...

I already opened port 6667 and 16000 and verified it with the "Port Forward Network Utilities" software.

I also checked %TEMP% - CNCOnlineLog:

----- C&C:Online Launcher Start -----
Game: Zero Hour
Zero Hour Install Path: C:\Users\PoKsTaH\Desktop\PoKsTaH\Spill\Generals ZH\
Started game with: "generals.exe "
Caught CREATE_PROCESS_DEBUG_EVENT from Zero Hour. Detaching...
Found game.dat process. PID 5632
*** Starting hostname hooking routine ***

You shouldn't use the C&C:Online launcher to launch Generals or Zero Hour.   If you are playing only those games, you should unhook and uninstall the C&C:Online launcher and install GenTool.  When you have done that, you just launch the game from its ordinary shortcut.     If you are using the Ultimate Collection, you should install this first; C&C Ultimate Collection Launchers

I'm only using GenTool 7.4. I tried both methods as well, and gives the same result. I'm not using the ultimate collection. Is it maybe because I play from China? I've also tried using vpn to work around the port thing, but doesn't seem to work either...

Is there anything else I can try? I tried both crack and my old cd install, but both ways didn't solve the problem.

Can you try to connect online using only Gentool and then post in here immediately afterwards?    I will try to see from the server log whether your provider is blocking the Peer Chat port (which, as you probably know, is quite common with Chinese providers).

Thank you.   I saw that.     I saw an attempt from the provider you are using now, which looks like it would be your local provider and not a VPN.    It looks like your connection to Peer Chat (TCP Port 6667) is, indeed blocked.      I wouldn't be surprised to hear that that provider was blocking that port.

Could I suggest that you try a different VPN?

Here are some that have been used successfully by other users (but you should try looking around a bit more too):
