Hi Commandos friends,

this is my first post here. In the spare time I started a software project, a remake of the commandos2 game engine.

Atm I'm writing data parser for commandos data, but i'm getting some trouble trying to understand the .PCK file format; I found some software for extracting these files, but I can't find their source code so I'm unable to understand how they work.
Someone can point me some useful information about this binary format?

The software is still in early-stage, here is the source code: https://github.com/dakk/opencmd2

Hi and welcome to the Commandos HQ forum!

Here's the documentation of the PCK format:

Attached File  Comm2_PCK.en.htm   482.5KB   395 downloads

You can find the VB source code of the Commandos Developing Toolkit (incl. documentation of most Commandos file formats) here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/cmdt/

Thank you, this doc is what I need; also the cmdt repo is a good resource for continuing my project.

Really good work, but why you picked that weird language, if you do something in c++ i could give you a hand with it.
