Ok. I listed all the unconventional technologies I observed in MO:

Allies:
Prism Tech
Chrono/Warp Tech
Laser/Orbital Tech
Cryo Tech
Weather Control

Soviets:
Radiation
Iron Curtain tech
Tesla Tech
Pyro/Flame warfare

Epsilon:
Mind control/Abduction
Toxic/Corrosion/Poison
Genetic Mutation
Dissolution(shadow tanks/irkalla/disc)
Magnetism
Stealth/Underground
Rage

Foehn:
Nano tech/nanoids
Weather manipulation
Particle collision (harbinger/future tank)
Plasma Tech(defenses, ramwagon etc.)
Hacking/Signals distortion
Confusion

Indeed, all of them are perfectly useful for their own purposes. I would choose Prism for allies, radiation for soviets, mind control for epsilon and nanoids for foehn. For gameplay fun and as personal favorites, I would choose radiation, tesla and poison.

What are your favorites ? Or, would you like to add more ?

By conventional, I intended to mean bullets/guns brute force etc. Every other kind of technology is a sort of unconventional warfare, new or old.

You do realise that fire has been used in *conventional* warfare since... Forever?

Yeah possibly.
I should have rather asked: What are your favorite mental omega weapons tech other than T1?. By saying unconventional I did not mean within the historical context of weapons development. It was rather limited to the game.

In that case, I'll prefer to reply this: Chrono Tech
Especially when you consider that handshakes have been pretty dangerous recently :p

The tech Thors use to get lightning without any consequences, you can't create energy out of nothing, you need equal amount of energy to do that.

On the website, Thor's weapon is actually a beacon.  It doesn't really creates the lightnings, it's more like you place a beacon and the lightning casually falls there. Repeatedly.

Also, shouldn't weather control be listed under allies as well? It's their fracking superweapon, you know.

Well, I tried to add technologies which are common for several units, and then some. But anyway it should be added to the list. Because, why not ?

Nano tech/nanoid: My favorite of all because you can basically build anything with less time and less heavy machinery, even print a brain gun for all your needs.

Weather Manipulation: Now who wouldn't want to bring rain to a drought, or cloud cover on a hot day, or a raging tempest to your enemies, or suffocate the crap out of the next big brute who wants to smash you?

Particle Collision Tech: The most effective means of sending a message ever.
