Please could you open Windows PowerShell (type PowerShell at the start menu) and in the window type and enter

Test-NetConnection peerchat.server.cnc-online.net -port 6667

Then post the output in here.

Do you have any anti-virus running?     I expect though, that your provider blocks that port, which you need to play these games (TCP Port 6667).     I think I may have seen that before, even though they do not explicitly say so.    Maybe you could ask them if they block that port.       If they do, you won't be able to play these games online unless you use a different provider or a VPN.     We can cross that bridge when we come to it.

I turned off my anti-virus and am using CyberGhost VPN. Despite that, I am still unable to connect to backend server, though my Powershell output now displays this:

ComputerName     : peerchat.server.cnc-online.net
RemoteAddress    : 46.166.178.165
RemotePort       : 6667
InterfaceAlias   : Ethernet 3
SourceAddress    : 10.129.98.254
TcpTestSucceeded : True

Could you check that the IP address in Options->Network shows that (10.129.98.254) IP address when the game is running or that it is available to be selected (try selecting it)?    Please make an attempt to log in at the same time and then post in here immediately afterwards so I can find that in the server log.

I have a similar problem, i begun trying to log into gamespy and when i found the result of it being offline i found c&c as well. i followed each step, registered, created an account, linked an email and got my username and ID. i was also watching two videos of people presenting how to log online on red alert three by using the downloaded c&c app so i decided to down load it as well. i hooked red alert 3, updated the c&c and launched red alert three from the app, i followed the instructions on using your email for revora then the password and the ID and it replied not being able to connect with the back end server which confuses me, and i then tried logging in with all different ways, nothing worked, i even made 4 email account with passwords and iD and user names and nothing worked, it always said can't connect to backend server, am i doing something wrong?

Please could you make your own topic and post your error log; see How to Report Issues for instructions.      I can very likely help you from there.
