comm2 used to work fine (in windowed) but now when i launch comm2 (in windowed) with either comm2.exe or debug.exe it just freezes in the menu, any ideas.

Play with compatibility settings. All rooted there, if sure you did not damage game while patching & nitpicking its data.

i reinstalled the game and tested all compatibility settings but it still freezes if i run it in windowed mode

Bah am using WinXP (lappy) + Wind7 on main powerhouse. Maybe any Windows 10 user will offer a resolution, sorry pal.

ok update: the original comm2.exe works fine but the Debug.exe is the one that is causing the freezing

another update:
installed latest graphics drivers. now the debug.exe works good but the comm2.exe crashes on startup.
conclusion: this issue is very unpredictable as i see it.
