Hello,

I have the problem that i cant connect to othjer players. I made a port in my fritzbox for 16000 and also enabled it ingame. Nothing worked out (still my own connection red and everyone else 0 connection)

Asked the internet provider than and found out that myprovider itself is not able to open ports.

Now i want to ask if there is anyway to get over that? Maybe using vpn? also is it maybe able to use my smartphone android internet connection and open a port there? or vpn over android?

thankyou for every help!

I think you would probably be better to use a VPN over your domestic internet (rather than your mobile connection)

Here are some you can try but I recommend searching for one based near you:

surfeasy.com
privatetunnel.com
securitykiss.com

(for cnc3 and kaneswrath btw , forgot to set it to title)

so that should actually work? because i am not experienced with vpn. i just searched for a idea what i could do and found some pages with vpn tunneling and other titles where thinks were written down about it. But since i dont really understand it that well.

If i did understand it right. my own firewall enables 16000 if i go to my norton internet security settings for cnconline and put under connection type , protocoll tcp and udp and put on enable all communication and porttypes. and in my fritzbox i did put on for my pc in my network port 16000 in and out.

since its still not working ( even with firewall deactivated ) its the providers firewall that still blocks the port 16000 by nattype. and i can use vpn to unpack from port 16000 and get the datas threw my providers firewall from the vpn thatway?

is that correct?

No, you should not need to port forward using a VPN. Just try a different one.

Installing the game should make an exception in your firewall (unless you used an unconventional install).

Try running the connection test in How to Report Issues .    That might show something up.
