For some reason I only got the Blood Ravens banner as flag displayed. Then I deleted the bt_banner.rsh file in the objective point ss mod and bingo all looks as it should be.

If you have the same issue simply remove/rename the "bt_banner.rsh"

I'm using the latest build in BT and objective point ss mod so thats not the issue. My guess is if an.rsh is not properly saved/compiled with the texture tool that matches exactly the folder path needed causes just this issue, good I did know that *wheww*

:)

The version in Objective Points is outdated and needs replacing. Not a problem when you're running BT as the "parent" mod, but when it's lower down the hierarchy than Objective Points you will get this problem.

We'll need OP strat/crit/relic banner updates pointing to such projects as Eldar CW, Tau Enclaves, SW:13th Company, etc... unsure whom to engage on this as it should not take long to sort out.

I really planned to update "O.P". We are few to be able to do.the update of "O.P". I must do it for Praetorian Mod.
You must compile an archive with all the banners that must be considered for the update, including the Whm / Whe, Attrib, Art, FX, Sounds or other required for the banners. Having 3dmax banners folders is a time saver (Animations, Skin)
I do not promise to be able to integrate all without difficulties. But I will try to make them in "O.P".

Tell me what requirements you need like "thirteenth_company_race". This one, for example, would be for Space Marines and just use the default banner pole whereas "tauva_race" would use the Tau Banner pole. If you need art path let me know but right now the banner pole would use vanilla based on race type like "eldar_craftworld_race" would obviously use the vanilla Eldar banner pole. I remember sending Jones the list many years ago. I know we have an OP thread here somewhere.

If I simply have to clone a list of banners already made, I do not seem to have any real difficulties to do so. I have already done this kind of work on my first work on banners. I'm talking about "exotic" banners that require "FX", Arts, particular 3d models.

For the support of the development of "O.P" I propose to realize a "Wip-Mod" dedicate to the quick tests "ingame":

1 HQ without required or costs, by factions
1 Squad without required or costs, by factions. (Capable of capturing a Strategic Point).
All the "Arts / FX / events" that must be taken into account for the implementation of the banners.
All the "attrib" / "Lua / rgd" that must be taken into account for the implementation of the banners.

List of banners that must be "cloned" . (Faction name becomes a "clause / condition" in "O.E").

Following up on the above re: OP integration.

Can someone PLEASE give this priority as many projects have been waiting for years for integration and now with UM out and CW is imminent its becoming critical.

Can we dedicate some cycles to address the OP Mod back log?!?!

I fought to give a wtp texture to renegade guard and I failed miserably. It's like the model of the objective point reads the rsh with the Alpha legion banner but not the wtp I did.

I suspect I need to look further either by FFE or getting the ebp and editing in OE.

Omb I think would be the one to easily crack it open and update it.

Note: Oddly enough Craftworld is fully supported in the main whe/whm of the OP Mod flag art BUT strangely ultramarines and tau_mod are in the whe but not in the whm while even more odd tau_mod exists in the OP's texture path but not there due to the whm not having the actual path.

Yeah we seriously need this updated once and for all.

BTW somebody has commented something in the BT thread in ModDB a few hours ago but I can't find the comment. Mod DB is not friendly to show the recent posts.

We need to integrate the specific objective point object made by Ombrephoenix for Praetorians or disable the visibility for the flag and let the statue to have the banner texture.

The ModDB post via Jones was to credit MDC for his work.

I have sent a PM to Jones re: OP Mod.

One thing I've wondered about the OP mod - does it really need to have any texture files bundled with it? Surely this can just be taken care of by each of the race mods, so there won't be any issues with outdated textures.

I can confirm that removing those textures from the OP Mod will still work as the whm still calls it correctly from the loaded mod.

My concern is: well if that is the case then there must have been another reason to keep them there but, yes, ideally, the loaded mod should have the say on what texture it requires since OP Mod has taken years to update while we can see new mod builds within days so...

The reason probably is that in case the third party developer of a race mod wasn't very aware of how to put that banner texture to be used by the new objective_point object, the obj point mod takes care of it. It's more or less a high-priority unification of banner textures.

but somehow I still don't get why some wtp aren't called and why some race banners are grey. Is the latter because they find a default texture in the obj point folder ?

I would say about 99% of the faction developer would be smart enough to add it (rsh/wtp to the applicable texture path) and EVEN SO its faaarr easier to make that correction (ie. put the rsh/wtp into your mod faction's applicable texture path which then results in a massively quick turn-around build) then to wait for OP to do it which seems to take.. years... :trickydick:

Currently, yes. Years ago not so sure. Still I tried with Renegard as I thought it was easy to put the wtp with banner information (they are a good collection) without success. Something is not completely clear for me.

Additionally there are support for dismissed factions like deathwing, squats et al. which could be reused for no explicitly supported factions in case nobody is going to expand the range. SW mod does this and thus, you get that deathwing banner instead of any SW banner.
