Good morning! How are we all? I have a wee proposition, if you wouldn't mind giving me a few moments of your time:
I believe the mod sound bites are one of the most important parts of it. One mod I always heard many saying had great sound bites was BotTA, something I agreed with. No other mod made it so very thrilling to use spellbook/fortress powers e hero abilities as it did (of course the crashes didn't help ). Aragorn's "For Frodo" and "Hour of Wolves", Theoden's "Glorious Charge", Thorin's "Du Bekar", Azog's warcry, Gundabad's Fortress' Horn...
This mod is getting really far, the models, effects and gameplay are fantastic, and get better with every release.
On Modding Union, there is a thread where people post sound bites they think would be useful for Edain. Sound effects, character lines, horns, powers... I figured we could do the same and make this thread to post sound bites the Age of the Ring team could find useful (Both to things that are still not implemented and things you believe could be improved).
Important things to observe when cutting sound bites from the films:
-Avoid noise and music on the background. If not completely, at least barely noticeable. A possible exception is if the sound is meant for a power, like "Du Bekar".
-Try to smoothen the edges, so the beggining and the end don't sound weird.
These two pages posted on Modding Union by Lord Dain Ironfoot and Necro are good examples of well cut sound bites
To start, I cut these myself, hope some can be used: https://soundcloud.c...-319600475/sets
Mostly Dáin II Ironfoot lines, so far.
