Hello, I have looked at the other posts about this but they always PM'ed the solution so I'm posting my problem here. 

 

• I am using the Ultimate Edition version on Origin
•  
• I try to log in to the online tab of Kanes wrath (game starts, hit online, enter name/pass/online id, then it loads for about thirty seconds before it says "could not connect to the backend server"

I am using Windows 10.

It looks like your internet provider is an educational institution. Institutional providers often block TCP port 6667 (peer chat), which these games need (and always have done).

Your options are to try and get the university (I assume it's a university) to unblock that port, use a different provider (if you can) or to use a VPN. You should be able to find a free VPN easily (closer to you is better) but some are better than others so you might have to try a few. Google for one in your local area.

Hello, 

 

I've tried to log in using the vpn (did not work), and have also changed my internet from the institution internet. I still have the same error of "cannot connect to backend server". I also changed my online id and password to see if that would do anything but I get the same error no matter what I put in the login box. I have this issue in Red Alert 3 too. 

 

I can hook the game from the launcher, but I have to launch the game from origin and run origin as administrator. Doing the launcher (even though it's hooked) says the ssleay32.dll is missing.

... had the same problem before ... I've started cnc normally through origin -> then clicked on kane's wrath in the appering window and cnc started  (don't know if it was hooked or not...) --> then tabbed back to desktop and clicked on the revora launcher cnc kanes wrath .. -> tabbed back in the game and finally i was able to login to revoras network and play.

Did this 2 or 3 times ... one day I rehooked the game and now I can normally start cnc through Orign -> window appears with cnc or kw --> click kw --> revora opens from itself and now click kw... Game starts.

did u try running cnc-online launcher as admin?

Please could you open Windows PowerShell (type PowerShell at the start menu) and in the window type and enter

Test-NetConnection peerchat.server.cnc-online.net -port 6667

Then post the output in here.

I did change from google chrome to the new microsoft edge but changed back and still no luck
