inb4 read all the solutions/suggestions - I have.

I use windows 7, and steam version of Red Alert 3 - I have been playing fine before so it's not the game (plays unhooked). Ran compatibility mode, tried to hook (no prompt so I dont think it works properly), and also get the "ca public key patching routine failed" pop up, so all in all not a great 2 hours wasted trying to play C&C. Tried the couple of solutions in the FAQ and other forums.( Google is also useless, for the first time EVER)

I see an admin PMing a lot of people a secret solution so maybe I can get that too?

My Log.

OK, I will send you that solution by PM in the hope that you stop complaining.   :smile2ap: . If anyone else wants that solution to try, please make your own topic and post your error log.

That part worked, new issue Sent in PM but told to post here.

"Connections are in progress, or connection problems detected. Please wait for the connections to finish, or kick the player who has the connection problem. Failed connections: 1-2"

whenever I try and play a coop mission or game with my housemate and sometimes others online.

(Is it because we share an IP?)

Pings the server ok though so not sure what's the issue now.

OK, playing with your housemate (or someone using the same internet connection) is a know issue (and always has been). You need to trick one of the games into thinking it has a different external IP address to the other game by using a VPN (just one of you, not the other). You should be able to find a free VPN easily but some are better than others so you might have to try a few. Google for one in your local area.    You might need to try a few to find one that works well for you.

See this post for some options.
