I've seen some real doosies in my time, but this year has had some pretty lousy lemons.  Never before have I seen so many good shows inspire such a state of cringe to the degree of Miss Colombo.  Here are my top five worst filth bombs of this year.

#5 The Simpsons

What in Richard's good name is going on with this show?  It's like some sort of social experiment to see how many people will keep watching a show with one utter capitulation after another.  The last few seasons have been boring, but wow... this one is so rank, I can see the stink waves.  Do you like watching grown men beat a corpse past death?  Well then, you'll love what this show has become.

#4 Walking Dead

Speaking of beating dead corpses.  "Keep out dead inside" is now the new slogan for The Walking Dead since you're better off not walking into this dead-end plot.  What happened?  We had all of these cool new characters like Negan and Jesus, but now it's sudden one of the worst shows of 2017?  First off, who likes Jesus?  And Kirkman decided to turn the show into a "deep", "meaningful" "art" project that tugs at your emotional cords by confusing you with camera filters and flashbacks within flashbacks within flashbacks until you go back to the point in time and space when time and space didn't exist.  Unfortunately, people are still watching this trash, so it still will exist next year.

#3 People of Earth

A really good show that premiered last year, but then it just decided to stop being funny.  What's a comedy that doesn't do jokes?  You got me there.

#2 Young Sheldon

What's even better than the Big Bang Theory?  A show about the only good character, except not have him in it, and base it around a kid by the same name that can't act and isn't appealing to any god-fearing thing in the universe.  Who enjoys watching an obnoxious child succeed in life?  "But Pasidon, there's emotional development." Oh, sod off.

#1 Once Upon a Time

Remember when this show used to be good?  Me neither.  Well... it's made my top 5 worst show list almost every year for 6 years, so here we are again.  You'll love this.  For this new season, the show decided to wipe the entire plot and start all over again since they wrote themselves into a decrepit musical wedding hole and desperately needed to make a plot that wasn't garbage.  Guess what they ended up doing again.  Another curse that wipes people's memories... another hideous child star that no one cares about... the exact same nonsense from the previous awful seasons all over again.  Oh well.  I'm sure they won't be doing this again.

Pokemon Sun & Moon should be in my top five worst shows of 2017 due to a change in animation, plot and a setting that reminds me of YugiOh GX. That anime is sinking and it's as terrible and tedious as The Simpsons right now. Plus Pokemon and the Simpsons still have one thing in common and that is the same age of the people season after season after season.

What about Blindspot, The Blacklist, Designated Survivor, Criminal Minds, Hawaii Five-O and Hell's Kitchen? Those sinking shows are all heading the wrong direction.

As for The Walking Dead, sod off that showrunner. He's responsible for the death of Carl's character played by Chandler Riggs who's about to head to college, and the comics did not suggest he's dead yet. That Reddit sub-forum had users already screaming like hell.

Yea, those Pokemon shows have been bad for a long time now.  But I don't really include animations intended for children in these lists since they're fine for their target audiences.  I suppose I could make room for "all anime ever" in the list since I will never watch any of them and I know that they're trash.  I'll do that next year.

Criminal Minds and Hell's Kitchen is still alright.  I'm not at fan of the all-star season garbage, but as long as Ramsey is still in it, the show still has a sliver of entertainment.  Now what I did consider is Master Chef... that show has turned ripe.  They ditched Joe and that fat guy I quite liked for two innate judges, and the contestants sound so scripted now.  I can't stand it.

And Carl dying isn't what made the season terrible.  I don't care if something isn't cannon to its source material, as long as the writing choice is done well.  Although, I bet the death was poorly done and will amount to nothing.  They should have killed Rick.  That sweaty meatball is just a waste of air time now.

Say, Pasidon. Will you also do the best or worst movies of 2017?

I would, but I'm just not knowledgeable enough about recent movies.  I watch like 4 movies a year.   All I know is that stupid Emoji movie would probably top the naughty list.

After the 2017-2018 TV season coming to an end... well, I am already listing Roseanne to be one of the worst shows of 2018. So far over 65 TV shows have been canceled or aired their final seasons. I am glad Roseanne is canceled despite the show's popularity... all thanks to her racist despicable tweet that sent national massive ire. I can't believe Roseanne is a Trump supporter, and now her show is gone Trump has gone silent on that. The only thing I like about that show is the character of Becky Conner played by the beautiful Lecy Goranson.

If they're cancelling that crap because of something that arbitrary, then whatever network it is obviously has impaired judgement and will just replace it with an even worse show.  And that Brooklyn-Nine-Nine garbage is unbelievable.  The only good part of the show is Terry Crews, which is not and WAS not enough to sustain viewers.  NBC will learn that the easy way, which is failing and wasting millions of dollars.  Out of all the good shows that got cancelled, that was not the one to bring back.

Say, Pasidon. Will you do the worst shows of 2018 (the top ten)? Will you also include reality competition shows?

I'll bet The Walking Dead will still be in your top 5, now that Andrew Lincoln will be leaving after season 9. Not sure about the state of Fear the Walking Dead though, that show has gotten too tedious and off-track.

I am abandoning most of the TV shows since they have gotten more tedious and scripting is way off-track. Still watching Blacklist, Blindspot, SWAT, I am Frankie, Battlebots, King of Bots (China), Sasuke/Kunochi (Japan) and limited episodes of American Ninja Warrior, America's Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars and Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back. Next year I will watch a 73-episode binged marathon of Game of Thrones once HBO finishes that final season run.

I sure will, but I don't include reality shows since... well... I don't watch those.  I'm more interested in laying out the worst scripted shows, and improve entertainment is in its own category of stank.  Walking Dead will probably be on there, but that does mean I have to watch it.  AGAIN.  Which I don't want to.  If George R. R. Martian's sci-fi show comes out this year, that's probably going to make it on there.  And Once Upon a Time is already in slot one since its last season was earlier this year, and that level of terrible will never be topped.  I've defiantly got a top 5, but worst 5 is still in the works.  And it's not the end of the year yet, so... PHH.
