So after destroying the Psychic Beacon controlling the American military base in Chicago, I have a hard time pushing up into the city in order to destroy the Iron Curtain before taking on the Amplifier. Does anyone have any tips they can share to make this mission easier? I'm playing this mission on easy by the way.

I'd suggest... Not going through the city. If you still have the Aircraft Carriers, use them with an escort to go after the Iron Curtain. If not, builds up an air force, go through the water to avoid most of the flak, and attack the IC.
