BFME1 Sauron Model for BFME2

Best Answer Maximan, 23 December 2017 - 04:30 AM

Try using an unwarp UV in 3ds max, or just assuimg that the textures helmet ect parts are exactly the same on each texture, just differently located, open up the BFME 1 texture in photoshop, and put the 2nd layer as the BFME 2 texture, make sure the resolution is 256x256 pixels, or whatever the BFME 2 texture is, then start replacing the BFME 1 textures area, with the BFME 2 textures. Hopefully that make sense, I'm typing this tired.

Hello im trying to get bfme1 sauron model to work in bfme2 (because the bfme1 model have the "glowing eyes" texture and also the "light spikes")

so bfme2 sauron model only use MUSauron.tga

and bfme1 sauron model use MUSauron.tga and MUSauron2.tga

MUSauron2 is the same in BFME1 and BFME2 but MUSauron was changed in bfme2 to an hd texture and i think it also have diffrents proprieties, because the bfme2 texture dont apply correctly on bfme1 sauron model (MUSauron2 go over it)

and i dont want to use MUSauron from bfme1 it's really too low res

i get that: W3dview 2017-12-22 22-26-09-39.jpg

i would like to get that but with the bfme2 hd texture: W3dview 2017-12-22 22-25-34-43.jpg

what do i need to change on the bfme2 texture to get it to work with the bfme1 model

Ok i have tried that in photoshop cs2 i needed to convert the 2 file to tga since dds plugins dont seems to work

the 2 texture are exactly the sames (same placement of parts/elements) except bfme1 one is in 64x64 and bfme2 one is in 256x256

EDIT: ah i managed to do it sauron look awsome !!!!!! like in the bfme1 intro cine thx :)
