For me personally the loading crash issue has gotten a lot better for a while after the patch (even if one file would not load I usually managed to load the previous or later one, and I save a lot, so no big loss).

Sadly, now I cannot load any of 10 save files made during a 2 hour session. I will gladly send over any save games should they be useful.

I am still having a blast playing the mod though and it is definitely worth any problems. Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd like just one of the crashing saves, if you could. I'm glad the patch improved the issue, sorry it still isn't completely fixed.

Oh, I forgot. My resolution may be considered a bit outdated but on my 1600x1200 monitor (and I'm guessing any non-widescreen) while playing the Rebels I am kept constantly on my toes by the ticking clock of "DEATH STAR CONSTRUCTION TI" only the clock did not fit on the screen. Rather immersive, I must say - after all the spies are never that precise. ;)

Haha yeah I moved it over there to prevent it overlapping with the text from heroes- but clearly it should just be moved back. Thanks for the report

Playing the Imps I noticed that on Hockaleg and Despayre I have a lvl 5 shipyard despite having a max lvl 2 space colony. Unless of course there is yet again something lore-wise that I do not know. :)

Soooo... Tarkin just convinced Lianna to join us and I start building stuff there and leave the planet undefended since there are only Imperial and independent planets around. Somehow a Rebel Y-wing appears there, then a Nebulon B and some other craft, apparently from the direction of Ammuud. Best thing is - I send my fleet there and start a battle over MY planet and I am faced by 2 hostile Golan III's, a research station and some shipyards. I'm guessing they are the ones that were defending the planet before it joined the Empire. Oh, and I think the Golans destroyed the Rebel ships before I even got close to them. :)

Edit: Can we get more 3-way fights? ;)

Hockaleg and Despayre were possible Death Star construction locations, so they have to have level 5 yards just for the Death Star. You can try building Praetors there...but it will take a long time!

The Rebels were probably retreating from another battle and Lianna looked "neutral" when the retreat happened. Regarding the Golans, that's a fun bug...thanks for finding it. I'll have to look into the planet changeover code, it clearly isn't wiping out the space structures.

Thanks for the explanation regarding the Death Star construction sites. My bad.

Another questions then - Imps on Geonosis can build droid and heavy droid foundry. The description says that research is possible but there are no such options despite a pre-built research station.

Same for the rebels if they take Geonosis. And only the Heavy Foundry opens any build option.

It’s likely a not flushed out feature. I imagine both main stein Imperial and Rebel fractions wouldn’t be using CW era droids much, but there are droids that could be added eventually that would make sense as full fraction units.

Yeah the droid stuff is there as fluff mostly right now. You may have noticed that Eriadu has Factories (Droid) which isn't very useful right now.

Very minor, but the tech tree is missing new units.

Also, the unit (cap) counter in GC land battles is a bit funny sometimes, but I cannot figure out a system so far. Some units it shows (at the moment of dragging them onto the reinforcement area) as using 2 cap points and some (I think) as zero. Then, after deployment the counter (not always?) corrects itself so I ended up having 6/5 without taking any additional drop zones.

Just now I put a lot of different stormtroopers into a Juggernaut Mk 3 and some of them got lost inside. ;) I managed to deploy 3 squads but the Jug show 10/16 spaces occupied (seems correct) only without the unit icons enabling them to disembark. When I select it there is only the icon of the Juggernaut itself, like it was empty.

Oh, and a less precise one - deploing either Drost or Johans does not add a hero icon to the top right of the land battle. One is in a FireHawke. The other one just shows up as a single squad of troopers without anyone of them looking differently.

Off topic: I cannot find a list of what the hero skills do but I am quite certain there was one. Please help me Evilbobkenobi... or anyone else :)

Land unit cap is broken primarily on Steam due to something that happened with one of the updates I think. Nothing we can do on our end as far as I know.

Losing the stormtroopers is very strange...no idea what happened there.

Yeah some heroes are lacking the display and unit highlight, that needs to be fixed systematically (which will happen at some point).

Hero skills are listed in the old 1.2 manual for the most part.

About save files. It takes 75mb to save. But when uncompressed (I've unpacked Config.MEG) it take only 64mb.

I've heard it's better for that game to load  that 1500+ small files than one big mega file.

Possibly, but having the files packed is the only consistent way to get AI working.

AI is not a problem, as you can still have all AI files packed.
But this idea failed - 79mb save after two hours play.
And it can occasionally crash (it likes to crash when I try to save in GC after a battle).

I'll do some testing myself and see what improvements it makes in terms of reducing crashes.

Hi,

1) When I upgrade a land speeder that gains shields (Freerunner, and Chariot, I think) the description says "missing" where the shields should be.

2) I believe there is something wrong with this picture (or my fighter knowledge is really lacking) . It's a shipbased fighter but I don't know which one it came from at this point.

wrong fighter.jpg

3) Is Romodi as senator giving Offense 4 to both land and space? He looks like a ground hero (one of many clones actually ;) ) but it just says "leader" without "land" OR "space". He has the icon and halo during my space battle but I'm not seeing much difference (how much is Offense 4, in any case?).

4) From time to time (2nd time in my 25 week long campaign) during a battle I start hearing "credits acquired" when I blow something up and get the bounty. Needless to say this results in hearing these two words in a continuous loop until the end of the battle. :) Does this have to do with Piett and Enforcement?

Thanks for the report. 2) is our name for the experimental version of the TIE Interceptor, in the same way that the first prototype of the Defender is called the TIE Advanced x5.

4) should only occur when you capture cargo containers in space combat. If it's happening at another time that's odd.

Another test, another fail.

I've used that launcher:

https://www.gamepres...ad.asp?ID=57785

Star Wars: Empire At War - ModLauncher v.1.1.0 has very nice feature - it allows EAW to work in windowed mode.

But, even in windowed mode, PR still can crash during saving game.

Fortunately it is the only moment PR crashes for me. A very stable mod .. until you want to save progress.
