Hi,

I bought 2 CD's of C&C: generals zero hour and want to play it with a friend. During the installation I had a problem and learned that I need to install C&C: generals first. So I bought 1 CD of that game and it will be delivered tomorrow.

My plan is to use C&C: generals for both me and my friends computer and than give him 1 of the zero hour CD's. I guess the C&C: Generals CD is not needed to play Zero Hour?

So this means:

1 CD C&C Generals

2 CD's Zero hour

2 players(computers)

Is this possible or do I need 2 CD's of C&C generals? Sorry im just a noob when it comes to these kind of stuff xD

Another question is:

I read that playing online is not that easy anymore becuase the server is shut down? Now I signed in @ C&C: online site where they claim to have a server where I can play online with a friend for free. But I do not know how to host a room. How do I start a online room for me and my friend?

I hope someone can help me with these uncertainties.

I don't think having 2 users using the same Generals Key will matter, since the two of you rather will play Zero Hour if I understand this correctly.

You only won't be able to play online @ Generals same time, Zero Hour shouldn't give issues.

In worst case, if it's still a requirement I have a spare product key I could share in worse scenario.

For playing Generals or Zero Hour online, you'll need 1. A Revora Account. 2. A server account which is attached to your Revora Account. and 3. Gentool to play online.

It has been a while since I've last played Generals through The First Decade collection... I believe you should be able to play online by clicking on the Multiplayer button @ Main Menu if I remember that correctly.

That means both you and your friend need your own Revora account and login details described above. ^

I installed both games on my windows 10, but I cant start the game. I get a window with '' please login with administrator privileges and try again''. I searched on internet to solutions and found that I have to write some stuff in cmd, but @ cmd it says '' the driver has been blocked from loading''.

Im getting sick of this shit. I just wanted to play a game from years ago and this is really getting annoying xD.

Can u help me with this?

It appears that SafeDisk DRM is causing that.

Not sure if this method will work for you as well?

There is also a way around in Windows 10 turning the entire DRM stuff off.

Hi,

I downloaded Gentool and went to a room with 3 players, but when the game started it said ''Unable to connect to other players''. Do you know what the problem is?

I have the following in the port forward list now:

TCP Port range: 80 - 80 Translate to... : 80-80

TCP Port range: 6667 - 6667 Translate to...: 6667 - 6667

TCP Port range: 28910 - 28910 Translate to...: 28910 - 28910

TCP Port range: 29900 - 29900 Translate to...: 29900 - 29900

TCP Port range: 29920 - 29920 Translate to...: 29920 - 29920

UDP Port range: 4321 - 4321 Translate to...: 4321 - 4321

UDP Port range: 27900 - 27900 translate to...: 27900 - 27900

(I wanted to post a screenshot but it is not possible I guess?)

Did I do something wrong with the port forward stuff? I am still unable to connect to other players..

Please help! I'm waiting so long to play online now :(

You could give DMZ a try if your router supports that.
Else look for a VPN server, there are a few free alternatives.
It’s best to look for a server near your location.
