Hi Everyone,

 

I have recently installed C&C: Online with the aim to play co-op on the campaign, I am using the ultimate addition version through Origin that comes with Uprising. I've set RA3.exe to run as administrator. I've created an online account & added a profile but still seem to be unable to connect, it times out advising Unable to connect to backend server.

 

Initially when trying to open the game from C&C Online it said "Missing required file "ssleay32.dll." I then tried using the hooking feature which seemed to just loop the game to open another window of C&C Online, when I un-ticked to unhook the game it boots but still unable to login.

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

The "Unable to connect to backend server" error message you've seen happened after the game tried to connect to the original Gamespy server, which no longer exists.

 

That's basically how hooking works. :p

Once you've hooked as example Red Alert 3, close the launcher. Then start the game through shortcut, steam or origin.

It should open C&C: Online Launcher instead, this indicates the Hook function is doing it's thing.

To the left, click on Red Alert 3 and it should run as it should.

 

Let us know if there's still problems.
