I know there isnt massive player base, but if the quick match feature did work I think 1v1's would be more interesting because it would prevent dodging. In fact if all 1v1 ladder matches had to be played through the quick match system to record it would truly be the fairest system in existence.
Any reason why its disabled or not working, had you considered the above?
Issues with what I proposed:
You might keep getting bashed by the same player repeatedly because you cant choose your opponents (that would suck if rank #1 player kept smashing the same noob over and over again)
You cant see how many people are playing 1v1
You cant see your opponents rank/stats (unless the shatabrick thing appeared)
But im sure you could get around these issues somehow
